Splendors of South Africa, Victoria Falls and Chobe National Park with guided tour director Wendy Aikinson more than exceeded my expectations. I appreciated the different avenues of communication such as the Globus app, phone access to representatives and printable materials. I mention this as there are all ages traveling and some not as "tech savy" as others. I found staff at Globus from reservations, last minute upcoming trip questions to our on site tour director, always professional, friendly and accessible. The small group allowed for more flexibility. The itinerary was well planned out. Good job Wendy. Linda Liebenberg was a great host with all her duties, some issues that were out of her control, and her caring attitude. Recommend that the 14 day tour be at least 16 days adding 1 more day at Victoria Falls and 1 more day in Chobe. The 2 night thing is just too rushed. Loved the accomodations. - AAnn· October 13th, 2023Everything was great except the airline trip from Cape Town to Victoria Falls. We basically wasted the day in the airport . On of that, the airline ruined my luggage. I can't say enough good things about our guide Linda. She was involved,knowledgeable,meticulous and kind. She went the extra mile for me after the anti malarial meds made me ill. Chobe at Elephant Valley Lodge did not go as smoothly with our departing transport needs not being clearly communicated to EVL resulting in last minute arrangements being arranged Saturday night. The transport arranged to go to Vic Falls airport from Botswana was shared and we waited 45 minutes at border for no-shows and barely made our connection to Johannesburg which could have been disastrous.
