Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech
You'll arrive at Marrakech Menara International Airport where your driver and guide will be waiting for you. The transfer to your riad takes about 30 minutes depending on traffic. After checking in and getting settled, you can either take it easy and rest from your journey, or if you're feeling up for it, take a short city tour to get your bearings and see what the area around your riad looks like. Dinner is included this evening.

- Day 2
Marrakech
This is your full day exploring Marrakech's main sites. You'll start by visiting the Koutoubia Mosque, then head to Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs to see traditional Moroccan architecture up close. From there, your guide will take you through the Mellah Jewish Quarter to learn about its history. Lunch happens with views of the spice markets, so you can soak in that atmosphere while eating. The afternoon is for wandering through the souks in the medina's winding alleyways, checking out the vendors and shops. By evening, you'll head to Jemaa El-Fna square where things get lively with street performers and food vendors selling everything from grilled meats to fresh juices.

- Day 3
Marrakech
Sleep in a bit and have a late breakfast before heading to the Majorelle Gardens. The gardens are peaceful and colorful, and right next to them is the Yves Saint-Laurent Museum if you want to see fashion design pieces from the famous designer. After that, you can check out the boutiques at 33 Majorelle for contemporary Moroccan designs. Lunch is at Le Grand Cafe de la Poste, which is upscale and a nice change of pace. In the afternoon, you'll experience a traditional hammam spa where they'll cleanse your skin, apply mud masks, and give you a massage. The day winds down back at your riad with mint tea and relaxation time.

- Day 4
Marrakech
If you want to wake up early, there's an optional hot air balloon ride over the palm oases and Berber villages around Marrakech. Otherwise, you have the morning to explore the city at your own pace. In the afternoon, you'll join a cooking class and learn how to make traditional Moroccan tagine, bread from scratch, fresh salad, and mint tea. Since you're preparing everything yourself, dinner becomes the celebration where you'll eat the meal you just made, and they'll serve almond paste cookies for dessert.

- Day 5
Marrakech to Atlas Mountains
You'll leave Marrakech at 9:00 A.M. and drive 1.5 hours to reach the Berber village of Imlil in the Atlas Mountains. Your mountain guide will meet you there and you'll do a moderately difficult 3-hour hike through the rural landscape (the difficulty can be adjusted based on your fitness level, and walking sticks, rental boots, and a mule are available if you need them). You'll see snow-capped mountain views and learn about how the local people live. Lunch is at a family home's terrace with Mt. Toubkal visible in the distance. After lunch, you'll hike back to Imlil, which takes about 2 hours, then drive to your mountain hotel for dinner.

- Day 6
Atlas Mountains
You'll spend the day experiencing Berber village life by visiting a local village, walking through artisan shops and galleries to see what local craftspeople make, and having tea with a local family. This gives you a real sense of the culture outside the tourist areas. The afternoon is quieter, with time to relax back at your hotel. Dinner is served in the evening.
