We travelled 2000 kilometres and a couple of days are 7 hours plus but with a few well placed stops and changing scenery it was very pleasant. The primary factor to make the trip most enjoyable is an intelligent and engaging driver/guide. Our guide Ahmad, was a gem. Traveling privately—just us and our driver—was hands down the best way to experience the country. No waiting for other people, no rigid group schedules, just complete flexibility and comfort throughout the journey. Our driver, Anwar, was a standout. Relaxed, professional, and an excellent communicator, he made every part of the trip smooth and enjoyable. He shared local insights, kept everything running on time, and always made us feel safe and well looked after. The tour was very well organised from start to finish. The accommodations were all excellent—clean, comfortable, and full of local charm. There is quite a bit of driving involved, but the constantly changing landscape kept it engaging—from the mountains to the desert to the coast, each region offered something new and beautiful. If you’re considering seeing Morocco, we highly recommend doing it this way. And Anwar, tourism manager of the operating company, had shown what is the responsibility of the tour company. The local guide at the Roman Ruins, Mustafa, did not know why he was at the sight, and the Guest House(Ryad) at Fez was just kind of small residence for home stay. So, I raised the issue against those things, and Anwar came to see me, and tried to fix those things with the result making me and wife so happy. He was also good company while driving keeping us informed and answering all of our questions. I wouldn't change anything other than to add an additional night in the desert camp.
