Tangier
You'll arrive in Tangier and head to your riad in the historic medina to get settled. After that, a local guide takes you through the old town's winding alleyways. Stop by Petit Socco Square to check out the markets and grab a café, then you'll experience a camel ride along the beach. Before the day ends, visit the Hercules Caves and make your way to Faro Square where the cannons sit with views looking out over the city and bay.

Tangier to Asilah
This is a day trip south to Asilah, a walled city about 28 miles away. The beaches here are pristine and you'll find Portuguese heritage throughout the town. Browse craft shops for souvenirs, and if you're traveling in spring, the city's festivals are worth catching. Horse-drawn carriages decorated with local flair transport you around town, keeping you in the shade as you see the sights.

Landmarks Asilah Medina - Day 3
Tangier to Chefchaouen
You'll spend roughly 2.5 hours traveling through changing landscapes, starting with flat plains, then green hills, and finally the Rif mountains before reaching Chefchaouen. After settling into your accommodation, the afternoon is for exploring the blue-washed city. Wander through the alleyways, visit Plaza Uta el-Hammam with its kasbah, browse the souks, and tour the Grand Mosque gardens. Families looking for activity can take an optional guided hike to Akchour Waterfall, which includes forest trekking and a chance to swim.

Chefchaouen to Fes
The journey to Fes takes about 5 hours with stops along the way. First, explore Volubilis, a UNESCO site with Morocco's well-preserved Roman ruins featuring merchant homes and colorful mosaics. From there, head to Meknes to tour the imperial city's medina, Bou Inania Madrasa, Dar Jama museum, and the impressive Bab al-Mansour Gate. Later, after arriving in Fes, visit the Marinid Tombs for views across the old city before settling into your riad.

You'll take home your finished mosaic as a special keepsake.

Fes to Ifrane National Park and Return
Head south to Ifrane National Park, a protected nature area. You'll stop at Lake Daiet Aoua to see the reflected hills, then check out Ifrane's Alpine-style hill station and Michlifen ski resort. From there, descend to the Berber town of Azrou and visit a cedar forest to look for Barbary macaques. By evening, return to Fes for dinner with a local family in the medina where you'll learn about Moroccan cooking traditions.
