Hotels are as below: Amman: Regency Palace Amman hotel, Wadi Rum: Wadi Rum star camp. The drive from Amman to Petra is around 3-4 hours, upon arrival you will have 2 hours to tour Pietra. Drive to Wadirum arrival before sunset. Should you wish to explore Petra better an overnight is recommended to hike to the monasteries. The hike is around 3 hours and very strenuous one.
