Segment 1 Romania and Bulgaria: This was a great tour we visited Transylvania as well as The capital of Bucharest. Then we spent two days in Bulgaria. The tour was great and our tour guide, Crina was wonderful. The second segment was the Balkans. We left Bulgaria and visited all the former republics of Yugoslavia minus Slovenia Plus Albania. It was truly amazing. Our tour guide, Simon was very good. The third leg was central Europe. It was only OK and the tour guide could have been better.Show more

For now, the available start dates for our Best Of Transylvanian Christmas Markets tour in December are Friday, December 6th, 2024, and Friday, December 13th, 2024. We currently do not have later start dates around the 18th or 20th of December. However, our tour dates for 2025 are currently being updated, please stay updated as new dates may become available in the next couple of months.

Traveler•Written April 2024We particularly need to travel starting on either the 18th or 19th December as our adult daughter can only travel then as it is her Christmas break/summer holiday. So, commencing 18th/19th December and finishing the 29th/30th December.

Asked on September 17th, 2023I'd like to book this tour but I am a solo traveller. Will there be a single traveller supplement if I travel alone? Will I have to share a room with a stranger? I'd prefer my own room.

The prices that are advertised on the website are for shared accommodation. If you choose to stay in a shared room, you will be roomed with another solo traveller of the same sex unless you have a friend travelling with you. But if you wish, you can still have your own private room by paying a single supplement. The cost of a single supplement on the 9th of December departure is an additional 424 USD. Please note that a single supplement can only be added after booking the tour.
