Margot· November 5th, 2025Amalfi Coast Walking – Agriturismo This trip was an outstanding TourRadar experience from beginning to end. The itinerary was thoughtfully paced, combining spectacular coastal walks with time to enjoy the charm and culture of the Amalfi region. Each day brought something different — from sweeping sea views and lemon groves to welcoming hilltop villages and hidden pathways. The agriturismo stay added something truly special. The hosts were warm and generous, the meals were delicious and made with fresh local ingredients, and the setting among the terraces and olive trees felt wonderfully authentic. It was the perfect base to return to after a rewarding day’s walk. Our Explore leader Pete was exceptional — knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about the area. Their organisation, care for the group, and ability to share local insights made the trip both seamless and memorable. Beautifully run and full of variety, this is a superb trip for anyone who enjoys walking, great food, and a genuine taste of southern Italy. Thanks MargotShow more

Asked on September 16th, 2025How much would we walk each day
Explore!Operator•Written September 2025This trip combines leisurely and moderate - graded walks with an average daily distance of 10km. You should be confident of your capability to enjoy the higher graded walks. Our farm stay is 600 metres above the Amalfi coast and much of the walking is along ancient paths and stairways. The sometimes lengthy ascents and descents along these routes - as well as often uneven surfaces - can be tough to navigate and put pressure on the knees. Expect some rocky and slippery surfaces, we'll be walking on all kinds of terrain from well - worn stone steps to rugged old mule trails. We recommend walking poles to help with the more challenging ascents and descents. If you're booking onto a July or August trip, be prepared to hike in temperatures of 35°c or more.

Asked on August 22nd, 2025I'm a vegetarian. Is this likely to be a difficulty?
Explore!Operator•Written August 2025It is not an issue if you are vegetarian as long as we know if advance and can note for the local office. There is a wide variety of fruits and vegetable readily available. We do suggest vegetarian may wish to bring along extra snacks.

Asked on August 19th, 2025do you pick up people in Rome? And also how difficult is the hiking? Do I need hiking boots and poles?
Explore!Operator•Written August 2025This trip combines leisurely and moderate - graded walks with an average daily distance of 10km. You should be confident of your capability to enjoy the higher graded walks. Our farm stay is 600 metres above the Amalfi coast and much of the walking is along ancient paths and stairways. Expect some rocky and slippery surfaces, we'll be walking on all kinds of terrain from well-worn stone steps to rugged old mule trails. We recommend walking poles to help with the more challenging ascents and descents. We recommend you bring walking boots - leather or fabric are both fine. Some of the paths are a bit rocky underfoot and so you could twist an ankle if not wearing boots. Sneakers are not recommended. Make sure that your boots are worn-in and comfortable before the start of the trip.

Asked on June 24th, 2025I have never traveled on a tour before. I will be travelling solo. I can't eat any dairy and I might require a bathtub due to health reasons. Is it possible to be accommodated? Other than that, any tips for this trip? I assume that I should be fit enough to walk the 10Km per day. What sort of gear should I buy? I'm thinking about signing up for one of the fall tours - late Sept/Oct. August would be too hot, right?
Explore!Operator•Written June 2025We can definitely accommodate for non-dairy but for lunch sandwiches it would help if you ate meat! The agriturismo does have one room with a bath tub so we could request that for you.

Traveler•Written June 2025How will you know that it's me and my dairy restriction/bath tub requests? Also, once I book the tour, I need to book a flight as well, right? Does the tour company pick me up at the Naples airport?
Explore!Operator•Written June 2025You will need to book your own international flights in and out of Naples airport. On day one of the trip, we offer two complimentary transfers from the airport to our agriturismo in San Lazzaro. The first will be at 1 pm (to join this one, your flight should arrive no later than 12.30 pm), and the second is at 7 pm (to join this one, your flight should arrive no later than 6.30 pm).

Traveler•Written June 2025Is Explore! able to book my flights for me? Is the trip 7 nights and 8 days? I see on the brochure that there are 8 days but when you see the departure dates, the range is 7 days.
Explore!Operator•Written June 2025The trip is 8 days and 7 nights. Day 6 is a free day to visit Pompeii and the tour leader will you organize that locally as most people will likely also want to visit.

Derek
Traveler•Written June 2025Can your company book my flights for me?
Explore!Operator•Written June 2025No, we don't book international flights so you would need to do that on your own.
