Itinerary
- Day 1
Colombo to Negombo
You'll land at Colombo CMB Airport where your tour leader meets you for the transfer to Negombo, a coastal town with golden sandy beaches. The timing is flexible for arrival, so after checking in and settling, take an evening walk around the city and catch the sunset.

- Day 2
Negombo to Sigiriya
After breakfast with Sri Lankan tea or coffee, head through the countryside toward Sigiriya in the cultural triangle. In Dambulla, you'll do an authentic cultural village tour including a bullock cart ride, canoeing on a lake, and a tuk-tuk ride, plus hospitality at a farmer's house. Later that day, climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress to see the sunset and walk through King Kasyapa's ancient palace on top.

Sigiriya
Start early if you want to hike up Pidurangala Rock for sunrise photos. After breakfast, visit Ritigala forest monastery where you'll see over 100 bird species and rare wildlife like purple-faced langurs and golden palm civets. Back at your hotel, you can relax or get an Ayurvedic herbal massage if that interests you.

Sigiriya to Kandy
Following breakfast, visit the Royal Cave Temple in Dambulla, a UNESCO site with five cave temples and historical drawings inside. Then travel to Kandy, the last Sinhalese kingdom's capital, set among mountains. Check out the Temple of the Tooth Relic (another UNESCO site) and grab a viewpoint of the city. By evening, walk through the city center and watch a cultural dance show with traditional Sri Lankan arts and heritage.

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
Traveling from Kandy toward Kitulgala through the rainforest region, stop first at a gem museum to learn about Sri Lanka's famous gems and jewelry. Once in Kitulgala, try white-water rafting on the Kelani River then trek to a natural rock pool where you can slide down a 5-meter waterfall into clear water. Later, walk through Nuwara Eliya's center seeing the red-brick post office, historic Grand Hotel, Victoria Park, and local markets.

Nuwara Eliya to Haputale

When you arrive in Haputale, visit Adisham Bungalow, a well-preserved British-era mansion and Benedictine monastery in forests and tea estates with colonial architecture and hill country views.

Haputale
Walk around the hill town of Haputale set among tea plantations and misty mountains. Head to Lipton's Seat, one of Sri Lanka's top viewpoints with panoramic views across multiple provinces. Visit a working tea plantation and factory to see how Ceylon tea gets made from plucking and drying to grading, and have a warm cup of freshly brewed tea.

Haputale to Yala
Take a scenic route to Ella and then toward Yala as the landscape shifts from misty tea plantations and waterfalls to dry lowlands. In Ella, see the famous Nine Arches Bridge and Little Adam's Peak, a mountain village with great views and vibrant cafes. Continue toward Yala as you move into jungle, lakes, and open plains where wildlife adventures start.

Yala to South Coast
An early 4x4 safari through Yala National Park lets you search for leopards, elephants, colorful birds, and other wildlife across forests, lagoons, and grasslands. After breakfast, head toward the south coast and stop to watch stilt fishermen at work, then visit Coconut Tree Hill with sweeping ocean views. Arrive at the south coast to relax on sandy beaches, swim in turquoise water, or unwind under palm trees.

South Coast to Colombo
After breakfast, go to the historic coastal city of Galle to explore the iconic Galle Fort, a UNESCO site with colonial architecture, fortified walls, lighthouses, clock towers, and cobblestone streets lined with cafes and boutiques. Visit a turtle hatchery center to learn about sea turtle conservation and see baby turtles before they go to the ocean. Then travel to Colombo for a guided city tour covering the Red Mosque, Gangaramaya Temple, Independence Square, and Galle Face Green.

Colombo Departure
