Unfortunately, after the relatively brief visit to a sea turtle hatchery and the equally brief tour of Galle Fort, nothing else was planned for the last two days, and swimming was out of the question due to rain. Some planning should have been done for these two days, or the route should have been changed. I always felt in good hands with my guide and driver, Janaka. He always got us safely through the often very chaotic traffic, and I highly recommend a tour with him.Show more

From the moment we met him, we felt completely safe and at ease — which was especially important for us as two young females travelling around Sri Lanka. Chandima quickly felt more like a friend than just a tour guide. He was warm, friendly, and always up for a laugh, which made our trip even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated how he tailored the itinerary to suit our interests — including unique requests like taking us to the gym early in the mornings. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him. His car was always spotless, comfortable, and stocked with daily water bottles and free Wi-Fi, which was such a thoughtful touch. He was incredibly punctual, even on the early mornings when we headed out to catch the sunrise. Some of our favourite highlights were the unforgettable elephant safari, the scenic climbs up Pidurangala and Sigiriya, and the magical moment we spotted blue whales while out on the water. Thanks to Chandima, this trip was more than just sightseeing — it was filled with laughter, comfort, and memorable experiences. - FFrank· January 22nd, 2025Easy communication before the trip, very helpful and supportive and open for adjustment/changes in the itinerary. In one or two aspects, a very specific visit request was promised, but then unfortunately not realised. Either it was a promise to do you a favour or, which is also possible, the wish was not communicated to the driver. Tip, it is better to say that something is not possible than to make empty promises. A few of the places we visited were very touristy or designed to make money. More detailed information regarding duration (trip, but also visits) as an orientation would be helpful. Our driver was fantastic, very nice, helpful, very good and save driver, and a good person (we experienced in the past driver who want to stop at certain points, i.e. shops, handicraft workshop where they receive commission. Asked on February 1st, 2025we are not sure at this stage of an exact date but it will be June or July which I believe are good months to visit for good weather. I particularly want to see wildlife so the jeep safari on turtle hatchery look great. Neither my daughter nor i are beach people so if there is an option to do a tour on day 9 we may do that.
