Asked on March 9th, 2024Is luggage size limited for the tour? Also, at the end of tour, can participant be dropped off at the Alice Springs airport?
- Adventure Tours AustraliaOperator•Written March 2024
Luggage limit is 15 kg. One small soft-sided bag plus a day pack is essential. We do not drop off to the airport. We recommend onwards travel to be the next day. Most travelers carry luggage in a backpack. Avoid hard/externally framed suitcases as they are difficult to store.

Asked on March 8th, 2024What time starts and ends the trip? Is it better to be there a day before and to stay one day longer? On 26 of July we're in Darwin, do you have a recommendation how to get there?
- Adventure Tours AustraliaOperator•Written March 2024
We recommend staying the night before due to pick up times varying from 6:00-7:00am in the morning of your tour. We also suggest staying the day after your tour too, as we get back at roughly 6pm and cannot guarantee this time due to sometimes having delays/disruptions that are out of our control. In regards to getting from Darwin to Alice Springs, I would recommend flying.

Traveler•Written March 2024How is it in July? If the night spent sleeping in the swag under the stars? I ask because it is quite cold then and we have our 11 years old daughter with us. Do people bring their own sleeping bag? Do they have special tents for three, couple with kid (11y)? What time does the tour start?
- Adventure Tours AustraliaOperator•Written March 2024
Yes, it is indeed cold at night in July and when you sleep in a swag, we do recommend you have a sleeping bag. You can either bring your own or rent one from us for $35, up to you. In regards to the tent, no we don't have a tent for 3 people but we can put a swag in the middle of the 2 twin beds if you like. Last but not least, the tour will start around 6am (depends on where you wish to be picked up from) from Alice Springs.
