Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Negombo
You'll arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo and your tour leader will take you to Negombo, a coastal town known for golden beaches and fresh seafood. The first day is about settling in at your own pace. Relax at your beachside hotel, use the pool, or take an evening walk along the seashore to catch the sunset.

Negombo to Sigiriya
After breakfast, head into the cultural triangle toward Dambulla. A tuk-tuk and catamaran ride across a calm lake leads to a traditional farmer's home where you'll learn to prepare a local curry with fresh herbs and spices from the garden, then have an authentic countryside meal. By afternoon, you'll reach Sigiriya Rock Fortress and climb to the summit to catch the golden sunset with views over the jungle and plains.

Sigiriya to Kandy
After breakfast, head south to Kandy, the cultural capital. On the way, you'll see the Dambulla Cave Temple, a 160-meter rock with five sacred caves containing ancient murals and over 150 Buddha statues dating back more than 2,000 years. In Kandy, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, a UNESCO site holding Sri Lanka's most treasured Buddhist relic. Finish at the Kandy View Point for sunset views of the lake and temple.

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
Head to Kitulgala for white water rafting on the Kelani River, known for scenic views and filmed as the location for The Bridge on the River Kwai. After rafting, trek through the forest to a hidden natural rock pool with a 5-meter waterfall you can slide into. By afternoon, continue to Nuwara Eliya, called Little England for its colonial charm and cool mountain climate. Take an evening stroll through the town center, visit the fruit and vegetable market, and enjoy the fresh hill country air.

Trek to Mini Adam's Peak for sweeping views of tea estates and valleys, then stroll through the relaxed village with cozy cafés and local food spots. Later, continue south to Yala, arriving in Tissamaharama, the gateway to Yala National Park.
