- Day 1
Mexico City
You'll arrive in Mexico City sometime before the evening welcome meeting with your Tour Leader. This is when you'll get to meet the rest of your group, and if you're interested, head out to a local restaurant or bar to start getting to know everyone.

Mexico City
Your Tour Leader takes you through Mexico City's Historic Center this morning, then you'll head to the National Anthropology Museum. The afternoon is yours to do what you want, and there's an optional dinner and group gathering happening in the evening if you'd like to join.

Mexico City to Villa del Carbón
Start early heading to Teotihuacan to walk around the pre-Hispanic pyramids and palaces. After that, you're off to the colonial town of Tepotzotlán to see the UNESCO-listed Temple of San Francisco Javier, then check out the Arcos del Sitio aqueduct before arriving in Villa del Carbón for the night. There's a walking tour of the historic center and optional dinner with your group.

- Day 4
Villa del Carbón to El Oro
You'll start the day kayaking at Taxhimay Dam to see what's left of the submerged village of San Luis de las Paras. Then it's on to the 'Magical Town' of Aculco where you can try local cheese varieties and visit some nearby waterfalls. By evening you're in El Oro, a charming town with a mining heritage, and there's a walking tour of the historic center plus optional dinner.

El Oro to Metepec
This morning you'll explore El Oro's mining heritage by visiting the Mining Museum and Socavon De San Juan. Later you head to the Centro Ceremonial Mazahua and Calixtlahuaca Archaeological Zone before reaching Toluca. You'll tour Toluca's historic center and the Cosmovitral botanical garden with its stained glass. Then move to Metepec for the night, which includes a walking tour, local liquor tasting, and optional dinner.

Metepec to Valle de Bravo
Head to Nevado de Toluca National Park in the morning for a hike toward the crater and its twin lakes, Laguna del Sol and Laguna de la Luna. After that you travel to the colonial town of Valle de Bravo, stopping at waterfalls along the way. You'll catch the sunset from a local viewpoint, take a walking tour of the historic center, and have an optional dinner with the group.

- Day 7
Valle de Bravo to Sierra de Nanchititla State Park
Start the morning at Centro de Espiritualidad Carmel Maranatha, then head out for water skiing instruction and time on the lake. You'll then travel to Sierra de Nanchititla State Park to see the impressive 105-meter-high Cascada De Nanchititla waterfall. For the night you're staying in eco-cabins with an optional dinner and group gathering in the park.

- Day 8
Sierra de Nanchititla to Ixtapan de la Sal
Begin with a guided tour through Grutas Estrella cave system to see stalactites and stalagmites. Then visit Tecomatepec to check out its 16th-century church, charming center, and clay craft workshops. You'll arrive in Ixtapan de la Sal for the night, which includes a walking tour of the historic center and an option to visit thermal springs in the evening.

Ixtapan de la Sal to Malinalco
You'll head to Tenancingo in the morning to see the impressive 30-meter-high Monumento a Cristo Rey and walk through the historic flower market. Then continue to the 'Magical Town' of Malinalco where you'll visit the Cuauhtinchan Archeological Zone, explore the colonial center with its ancient Augustinian Ex-convent, check out local handicraft workshops, and try local food specialties. You have free time in the evening and optional dinner with the group.

Malinalco to Mexico City
Start the day by visiting Chalma, the second-most-important pilgrimage site in Mexico, then do some hiking in Lagunas de Zempoala National Park. You'll be back in Mexico City by early afternoon, bringing your tour to a close.
