- CBChristine· February 16th, 2021We had the BEST time in Morocco! Our guide, Anouar, made the visit so enjoyable with his knowledge, professionalism, and character. We were the only tourists in most of the places we visited, but never felt unsafe. In fact, I would highly recommend traveling during this time as there are fewer people and good health and safety precautions. My favorite part of the tour was our time in the desert. If I could change one thing, I would have spent another night or two there exploring the Sahara desert. Book this trip! You'll love Morocco, the people, the food (delicious), the tea, and the hospitality. We can't wait to go back.Show moreTrip date: January 2021
- SFSandra· December 28th, 2019To be quite honest this company was terrible. The airport pick up was the only professional part about it. First, the original itinerary that I booked included the beach town but a few days before leaving, suddenly that was switched to a waterfall. I saw 2 waterfalls 2 days in a row, and since I'm from the Canadian rockies, these are not interesting for me. We drove way too many hours. The morning departures were disorganized with long waiting times. The hostel in Marrakech was a 1star at best, with a horribly uncomfortable mattress that put my hips and back in pain. The promised camel rides didn't happen. We were 10 min out to a dune and 10 min back in the evening, no morning ride as in the itinerary. The transfer to Fez was chaos, we were squeezed into a tiny old taxi with a driver that didn't speak any other language except Arabic. He got mad when we asked him to stop for the toilet after 3 hours of driving. He refused to stop close to my hotel and made me get out 3 km passed it so I had to take another taxi back to it. Lastly, usually when you take a tour you are with the same people the whole tour. I was shoved into vans with new people every day. The 2 day trip to the desert was the only time I saw the same people. There was never the same guide, although a couple of them were good, but the others were a waste of time and just wanted money in the end for nothing. We only had one good driver on the 2 day trip to the desert, the rest were terrible. Never met or saw any representatives from Tihya Tours at all. I don't normally take multi-day tours and this has definately turned me off of taking any more.Show moreTrip date: December 2019
- JCJulie· September 21st, 2019To start, the driver at the airport was late to pick me up by at least 30-45 minutes. I had to ask a local person to call the organiser for me to be assured I was indeed going to picked up! The tour included 2 nights in marrakech in a shared room, but I requested a private room and paid extra for both nights. I requested they reserve an extra night for me, as I was staying 3 nights. I was surprised to discover this had not been done, even though I was assured everything was taken care of. They found another riad for me to stay, and as far as I understand, was not charged for this, which was good. The next stop after marrakech, I was told in my itinerary that I would have a private room, but when I arrived, I was told otherwise and I literally had to argue with them that it was written clearly in my itinerary. In the end, I did get a private room, but it was a big hassle! Lastly, when we arrived at the desert to take the camel ride, me and another couple were abruptly asked to get off the bus with our belongings and not told that we would be split up from our group. It happened so quickly that I left my sun hat on the bus! The other couple and I were not happy with the lack of communication. Also, nobody spoke English, which was not helpful. Then when I asked what time I should be ready for my transportation to Fez, nobody at the hotel knew a thing about me! So I took my breakfast and didn’t shower yet and next thing I know, I have a driver before 9am telling me to hurry up!! I barely finished my meal, still had to get dressed and never got my shower! When I finally got on the road and expected to be in a 6 person grand taxi, I was again, abruptly told to get out about 15 minutes later and put into a full 17 passenger bus and took the only seat left, which was in the very back row, squeezed in between 3 German guys, who did not appear to be happy with me joining them. It was very tight, and I am extremely petite! In the end, the communication was poor and I felt it was not organized very well. It was a relatively inexpensive tour, so I guess this reflected on the quality of this tour.Show moreMarrakech Tour commented on this reviewThank you for your feedback and for sharing your review with us and the travel communityTrip date: August 2019
- Erica· August 28th, 2019This really was a superb deal and we enjoyed every minute. We liked the fact that we had lots of time to do our own thing. Packed so much into tbe six days too. We would definitely recommend this company. We would be interested in doing more trips as it really was a excellent value for money.Show moreMarrakech Tour commented on this reviewThank you for your feedback and for sharing your review with us and the travel communityTrip date: August 2019
