Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Cairo
You'll arrive at Cairo International Airport where your tour representative will be waiting to meet you. From there, you'll head to your hotel and check in, giving you time to settle in and rest up before the week ahead.
- Day 2
Cairo / Alexandria (Optional)
An optional excursion takes you to Alexandria for the day. You'll see Graeco-Roman sites including Egypt's only Roman amphitheater, walk through the Kom El Shoqafa catacombs with their mysterious chambers, and check out the Citadel of Quaetbay fortress overlooking the coast. Breakfast is included.

Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum
After breakfast, you'll take a full-day guided tour to the Pyramids and the Sphinx. Later you'll head to the Grand Egyptian Museum to see artifacts spanning 5,000 years of Ancient Egyptian history, including the Statue of King Ramses II and royal regalia. Both breakfast and lunch are provided.

River Cruise Begins
You'll transfer to Cairo airport for a domestic flight to Luxor, then board your 5-star river cruise which will be your home for the next week. After lunch onboard, you explore Luxor Temple with its impressive columns and courtyards, followed by the Temple of Karnak. Dinner happens onboard as the ship docks for the night.

Valley of the Kings to Edfu
This morning takes you to the Valley of the Kings to see its 64 tombs and chambers, then you visit the Colossi of Memnon, those massive stone statues standing in the desert. Next comes the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari. By evening the ship sails toward Edfu while you have dinner onboard.

Temple of Horus & Kom Ombo
You'll explore the well-preserved Temple of Horus in Edfu, then the ship cruises to Kom Ombo where you see its riverside temple with hypostyle halls and burial chambers, plus mummified crocodiles. The cruise then docks in Aswan where you'll stay for three nights and have time to explore the city.

Aswan (Optional Excursions)
Today is yours to spend as you like in Aswan. You can visit the Nubian Museum to learn about Africa's oldest civilizations, or book an optional coach trip to Abu Simbel, those massive temples carved into the mountainside and built for Ramses II and the goddess Hathor.

Philae Temple & High Dam
You'll visit the Philae Temple, an ancient pilgrimage site dedicated to the goddess Isis that was moved to Agilkia Island during the Aswan Dam flooding in the 1960s. After that, tour the High Dam, built between 1960 and 1970 to control the Nile and generate power. An optional afternoon visit to a Nubian village is available before returning to the ship.

Edfu
The day gives you time to relax onboard as the river cruiser sails north. You can use the pool, walk the decks, or simply watch the Nile landscape pass by. It's a peaceful day on the water before the ship docks overnight in Edfu.

Final Cruise Day
Your cruise continues downstream with another night docking in Luxor. The day is leisurely, so you can lounge on deck, enjoy the meals, take a swim, or just watch the Nile scenes unfold. It's your last day on the ship before you head home.

Luxor to Cairo Departure
You'll say goodbye to the cruise ship and transfer to Luxor airport for your domestic flight back to Cairo. From there you'll connect with your international flight to head home.
