Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo Arrival
A representative will meet you at the airport to help with visa processing and get you through customs. After collecting your bags, you'll have a private transfer to your hotel. From there, the rest of the day is yours to either relax and recover from travel or wander around Cairo on your own.
- Day 2
Giza Plateau and Egyptian Museum
This morning you'll head to the Giza Plateau to see the Great Pyramid, Pyramid of Chefren, and Pyramid of Mycerinus up close. You'll go inside one of these pyramids, then take a camel ride out in the desert. The Great Sphinx is next on your route before lunch at a traditional spot. Later in the afternoon, you'll spend time at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities looking through their collection of ancient artifacts, including items from Tutankhamun's tomb.

Saqqara, Dahshur, and Memphis
After breakfast at your hotel, you're off to Saqqara to see the oldest pyramids including the Step Pyramid of Zoser and the Museum of Imhotep. From there you'll travel to Dahshur to check out the Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid built during King Senefru's reign. Next comes Memphis, Egypt's ancient capital, where you'll see the massive statue of King Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx. You'll have lunch and time for shopping before heading back to Cairo.

Islamic Cairo and Coptic Cairo
You'll explore old Cairo starting with the Alabaster Mosque and the Citadel of Salah El Din, where you can take in views across the city. Your guide will explain the Islamic history while you're inside the Mosque of Muhammad Ali. After that, you'll visit historic churches in Coptic Cairo, including the Hanging Church and Sergiouse Church, then enter the Cave of the Holy Family. Lunch happens at a traditional restaurant, and you'll have time to walk through the old Bazaar before your hotel.

Karnak and Luxor Temples
After breakfast, you'll check out of your Cairo hotel and head to the airport for a flight to Luxor. Once you arrive, you'll be picked up and taken to your cruise ship where you'll stay for the next four nights with meals included. That afternoon you'll explore Karnak Temple, the largest religious temple from ancient times, then visit Luxor Temple with a private guide. Your evening is spent relaxing onboard.

Valley of the Kings and Temple of Hatshepsut
The Valley of the Kings is your first stop, where you'll see royal tombs including King Tutankhamun's famous burial chamber. Sixty-two tombs are scattered throughout this sacred valley where pharaohs were buried separately from their monuments. Next you'll visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built into the mountain cliffs with three levels carved right into the rock face. You'll stop at the Colossi of Memnon for photos and have a chance to shop at alabaster factories. Back on the cruise for lunch, then sailing continues toward Edfu.

Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples
After breakfast, you'll visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of the best preserved temples from Egypt's Ptolemaic period with beautifully decorated walls and stone capitals. Back to your cruise for lunch, then on to the Temple of Kom Ombo, which honors both Horus the falcon god and Sobek the crocodile god. There's a crocodile museum at this site to explore. You'll keep sailing down the Nile toward Aswan and enjoy entertainment onboard this evening.

Abu Simbel and Philae Temple
After breakfast, you'll drive about 3 hours to Abu Simbel, two massive temples carved into the mountainside during Pharaoh Ramesses the Great's reign as monuments to himself and Queen Nefertari. Water and snacks come along during the drive. Once finished, you'll return to your cruise in Aswan for lunch. Later, you'll visit the Temple of Philae dedicated to the goddess Isis, back to the ship for dinner and folkloric performances.

After breakfast on your cruise, you'll check out and fly back to Cairo. When you arrive, a transfer takes you to your hotel where you can relax and enjoy your last evening in the city.
