Customer Reviews
- Sally· June 12th, 2025The booking process was very disappointing to say the least. It took more than 10 days to get my tour confirmed. I was already travelling which made it quite stressful. I would definately book directly with G Adventures next time. The tour itself was great. Tour was broken into 2 parts (Budapest to Istanbul 12 days then Istanbul to Istanbul 8 days) so I had 2 different tour guides. Both were amazing. Friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and generally just great humans. So many amazing places visited. I preferred the smaller towns as it gave more of a feel for the country itself rather than a busy city. The Turkiye your would be less hectic if it was 2 days longer because while it says 8 days, it's actually only 6 days of tour. The accommodation was good, the breakfasts were not. Being dairy intolerant and gluten free meant boiled eggs, tomato, cucumber and olives. I would consider a G Adventures tour again in future.Show more
- Matthew· June 5th, 2025Good tour with a range of elements - sightseeing, food tours and free time. Excellent tour guide who helped bring to life parts of the city we wouldn't have known about.Show more
- Aliye· May 23rd, 2025Last couple of days was rushed and long. Would have been nice if we stayed an extra day in Canakkale after seeing Gallipoli, and then drive back to Istanbul. Anatolia we didn't get to see the waterfalls.Show more

Asked on April 28th, 2025Does the tour go to Mt Ararat or just drive by a sizable distance away?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written April 2025
The tour doesn't get fully up close however, you do take in views of Mt Ararat. See the day description below. (Day 6) Visit the Van Citadel this morning, built by the ancient kingdom of Urartu. From there transfer to the previous capital of the Republic of Ararat, Dogubeyazit. Explore Ishak Pasha Palace then take in views of Mt. Ararat and across the mountains where the possible resting place of Noah's Ark is said to be located. Continue on to Kars for a brief orientation walk, then settle in for the evening with free time.
