Itinerary
- Day 1
Nairobi
Start your morning at the Nairobi National Museum to learn about Kenya's cultural history. After that, head to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust where you can interact with orphaned elephants. The Giraffe Centre comes next on your schedule. Grab lunch at a restaurant that appeals to you, then finish the day at Bomas of Kenya to see traditional tribal dances, cultures, and crafts firsthand.

Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Leave Nairobi after breakfast and drive south toward Maasai Mara. You'll stop along the way to take in views of the Great Rift Valley. Once you arrive at the lodge around lunchtime, you'll have time to settle in and eat. Later in the afternoon, head out on a game drive through the park to spot the Big Five and other wildlife.

Maasai Mara
You have options today. Wake early for a sunrise game drive to watch big cats hunting in the cool morning hours. If you prefer, there's an optional hot air balloon safari with champagne breakfast available instead. Back at the lodge for a late breakfast, you can then either do a full day exploration of the park with packed lunch, or relax at the lodge in the morning and game drive during the cooler afternoon.

Maasai Mara to Serengeti
After breakfast, start a road safari from Maasai Mara toward Serengeti, crossing the Namanga border. The drive takes you through land filled with huge populations of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes. You'll have chances to spot predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs, plus herbivores including elephants, hippos, and giraffes along the route.

Serengeti
Get up before dawn for a sunrise game drive searching for big cats hunting in the cool morning light. Following breakfast, spend the entire day exploring Serengeti's plains looking for the Big Five and the famous Wildebeest Migration. You'll weave through kopjes where lions rest and experience some of the world's most iconic wildlife against the open landscape.

Serengeti
This is your last full day in Serengeti to explore however you'd like. Split your time between morning and afternoon game drives with lodge time for lunch, or pack a picnic and spend the full day on the plains. Either way, you'll continue searching for wildlife and soaking in the vast open landscape around you.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, head back toward Ngorongoro Crater National Park via a different route through Serengeti for fresh chances to spot animals. You'll see thousands of wildebeests and zebras migrating, graceful giraffes, jumping antelopes, powerful elephants, and predators including cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and lions. Dinner and overnight stay are on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater or in nearby Karatu Town.

Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Crater and head to the panoramic viewpoint to see why this vast, verdant caldera has such a strong reputation. Explore the crater home to over 120 mammal species including the Big Five, with good opportunities to spot endangered black rhinos and large hippo populations. From your open-top vehicle, you'll observe lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, wildebeest, zebras, antelope, and cape buffalo.

Landmarks/POIs Ngorongoro Crater - Day 9
Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara to Arusha
Head to Lake Manyara National Park shortly after breakfast with a scenic two-hour drive to build anticipation. The park offers excellent game viewing with tree-climbing lions lounging in acacia trees, great for photography. Bird-watchers will enjoy large flamingo flocks, circling birds of prey, and brightly colored lilac-breasted rollers. From there, proceed to Arusha for overnight.

Landmarks/POIs Lake Manyara National Park - Day 10
Arusha to Amboseli National Park
Leave Arusha after breakfast and start your scenic drive back toward Kenya. You'll go through immigration and meet your new driver before proceeding to Amboseli National Park. In the afternoon, go on a game drive where you'll see herds of wildebeest and zebras, proud lions, hyenas, various antelopes, and some of Kenya's largest elephant herds set against Mount Kilimanjaro.

Amboseli National Park to Nairobi
Rise early for a dawn game drive to see Mount Kilimanjaro at sunrise. The Roof of Africa is often hard to spot, but early morning light gives you the best chance to see Africa's tallest mountain. After this final game drive, make your way back to Nairobi where you'll be dropped off at the airport or your hotel.
