While it was expensive, we were aware of this beforehand, and it was definitely worth the cost. There are a couple of points where I differ from potential critics: The early starts: Ibrahim was transparent about these from the beginning and provided thorough explanations for their necessity (to avoid crowds and intense heat). We found them beneficial. The number of excursions not included: While I do believe Abu Simbel should be included in the itinerary due to its popularity and the lack of other inclusions in Aswan, the overall clarity of the itinerary and the transparent costs of optional excursions meant everyone should have understood what was included and what wasn't. Our guide Tamer impressed us with excellent knowledge and enthusiasm.
