You'll arrive in Corner Brook and have the rest of the day to yourself. Wander around town, get settled at your hotel, or just relax after your journey. This is a good time to get your bearings and maybe grab dinner somewhere local.

Corner Brook
Start with a welcome breakfast where you'll meet the other travelers and your tour director. After that, you'll get an orientation tour around Corner Brook. Then you'll head out along Humber Arm toward the Bay of Islands, stopping at Lark Harbour to see views of Guernsey, Tweed, and the Pearl Islands. The route to Frenchman's Cove offers plenty of chances for photos before returning to Corner Brook.

Gros Morne National Park - St. Barbe - Port Au Choix
You'll travel north along Deer Lake's shores to Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There you'll check out Lobster Cove Head lighthouse and its marine displays, then move on to Broom Point to learn about early Canadian fishing settlements. Later you'll head to St. Barbe and see glacier-carved gorges on the way to Port Au Choix National Historic Site, which has exhibits on Maritime Archaic and Dorset peoples from before 2000 BC.

- Day 4
Red Bay - L'Anse-au-Clair
You'll board a ferry to cross the Strait of Belle Isle. Once you're across, you'll visit Red Bay National Historic Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a 16th-century Basque whaling station exhibit and displays about the first major industrial complex in the New World. After that, you'll travel to L'Anse-au-Clair for the night.

L'Anse aux Meadows - St. Anthony
Take the ferry back to St. Barbe, then head to L'Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site to see the only known Viking settlement in North America. A local guide will show you reconstructed sod huts and Norse artifacts from around 1000 AD. You'll return to St. Anthony for dinner with entertainment later in the evening.

Arches Provincial Park - Bonne Bay - Rocky Harbor
You'll travel the Viking Trail with a stop at Arches Provincial Park to photograph two large sea-carved arches. Then you'll board a boat for a cruise on Bonne Bay to see fjords and the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The guide provides commentary on Gros Morne Mountain, Tablelands geology, and you might spot whales and birds. Dinner features seasonal seafood.

Head to Gander, which was once a major international aviation hub. You'll visit the North Atlantic Aviation Museum to learn about aviation history from the 1930s onward. Then you'll join the Beyond Words Tour to hear about how Gander housed and fed nearly 6,700 unexpected guests in the days after 9/11.

Twillingate - Terra Nova National Park - Clarenville
Drive along the Road to the Isles, passing through towns with colorful names like Too Good Arm and Virgin Arm. You'll visit Twillingate's Fishery and Heritage Center in Iceberg Alley, then continue to the rugged coastal landscape of Terra Nova National Park. By evening you'll be in Clarenville for dinner, located along beautiful Trinity Bay.

Bonavista Peninsula - Trinity
Travel to Cape Bonavista to see beautiful cliffs and coastlines. In Bonavista, you'll learn about John Cabot's 1497 landfall that marked the beginning of modern North America, and visit Ryan Premises National Historic Site about the fishing industry. From there, continue to historic Trinity, one of North America's oldest communities. You'll have a regional lunch at a local restaurant and then a walking tour with a guide who shares stories about this village.

Cape Spear
You'll travel to Witless Bay where you board a narrated boat cruise around three islands in the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve. This reserve has over 2 million seabirds, including 500,000 Atlantic Puffins, so bring your camera. After that, you'll visit Cape Spear National Historic Site, the most easterly point in North America.

St. John's
A local guide takes you through St. John's, the oldest settlement in North America. You'll visit Signal Hill National Historic Site and Cabot Tower, explore the Old Town, and see the Basilica of St. John the Baptist. This afternoon is free, so you can visit The Rooms to see local culture or check out boutiques and galleries on your own. Tonight your tour director hosts a special farewell dinner with a traditional Screech-In ceremony, which includes a shot of local rum and the kissing of a cod.
