What people love about Coach / Bus Tours
- Highland Experience's Scottish Choice
Fergie was our tour guide, he has the gift of storytelling, this Scottish man enchanted our experience with magic, history, from climbing mountains to getting ourselves in the north sea, collect shells, and pretty stones. Among the very frequent stops to take pictures, feed wild deer, stare at hairy coo's see the white and black and big and small cute sheep, the best of all was getting our faces in the enchanted water for forever beauty and youth. After 5 days we learned so many tales about the highlands, it's people, and history, this trip is wrapped with more memories than we could have a dreamed. Highly recommend The 5-day tour with Fergie and Highland Experience. Thanks!
- 2 Days Angkor Archaeological Site Group Tour
The tour was excellent everything was perfect. They picked up as at the hotel and visited Angkor Wat ans surrounding as it was communicated before. It was amazing :)
- Escorted Group Tour: Phoenix AZ & Copper Canyon Mexico Train Tour
Very good experience! Manual and Francisco very amazing with their guiding and driving. The one complaint I would have is that the evenings were very long with nothing to do! Maybe you could organize some activities for the evenings.
What our customers ask about Coach / Bus Tours & Trips
What's the best season for bus tours?
The best time really depends on where you're going. Take Japan as an example - most travelers book tours in spring between March and May when temperatures are mild at 59-68°F (15-20°C) and the cherry blossoms are blooming. Another popular time is fall, from October to November, when temperatures cool to 50-64°F (10-18°C) and you can see the beautiful autumn colors. The weather during these seasons makes it comfortable to travel by bus and get out to explore.
What's the typical daily schedule like on a bus tour?
Most days start between 8:00-9:00 AM with breakfast at your hotel, like the Star Gate Hotel near Kansai Airport. You'll spend about 4-6 hours sightseeing, with regular stops every couple of hours to stretch your legs and use the restroom. The day usually wraps up between 5:00-6:00 PM back at your hotel. Past travelers really liked how the tours mixed active sightseeing time, like visiting Mt. Fuji's 5th Station, with relaxing breaks on the bus between stops.
What type of accommodation is included on bus tours?
You'll mostly stay in 3-4 star hotels that have private bathrooms, either right in city centers or in scenic spots depending on where you're traveling. For example, if you're on the Southern Spectacular tour in New Zealand, you might stay at the Il Principe Hotel 4* in Catania or the MacKenzie Country Hotel. In Europe, you'll often stay in reliable hotel chains like Ibis or Best Western. Travelers consistently give the hotels good ratings of 4.0-4.5 out of 5.
How much free time do I get during bus tours?
You'll get a nice mix of guided activities and time to explore on your own. In big cities like Tokyo and Osaka, travelers usually get 2-3 hours of free time for shopping, trying local food, or doing optional activities. A typical day might start with a guided visit to somewhere like the Meiji Shrine in the morning, then give you free time in the afternoon to explore areas like Shinjuku Kabukicho at your own pace.
What type of hotels can I expect on bus tours?
You'll stay in 3-4 star hotels in convenient locations throughout your trip. Some common ones are the Osaka Castle Hotel and Sunshine City Prince Hotel in Tokyo. These places offer clean rooms, breakfast buffets, WiFi and laundry facilities. Travelers often mention in their reviews that the rooms are "comfortable and clean with good amenities."
How do meal arrangements work on bus tours?
Your hotel breakfast is usually included each day, but lunch and dinner are typically up to you. At stops in places like Osaka and Tokyo, your guide will point out good local restaurants near the hotel, like around the Sunshine City Prince Hotel. The breakfast buffets usually have both Western and local dishes, so you can choose what suits you best.
What kind of breaks do we get during long travel days?
You'll stop every 2-3 hours for bathrooms, snacks and stretching. These breaks happen at nice spots like scenic viewpoints, local cafes, or rest areas. On the Southern Spectacular tour in New Zealand, for example, you'll make stops at beautiful places like Lake Tekapo and the Pancake Rocks. Past travelers say these well-timed breaks really help make long bus rides more comfortable.
