Stanley· May 19th, 2025It was a great experience that we will never forget. The pace was fast but it was manageable, with us covering a lot of county's in a short amount of time. Our tour guide did an excellent job in leading us. He was very interesting to listen to, with his knowledge and understanding of the history and culture of each country visited. The driver was excellent in his skills of navigating our course. The driver and guide made an excellent team, providing insight and good leadership. We made many new friends and will never forget our time together with each one of them.Show moreTrip date: May 2025- AAnonymous· December 27th, 2024His passion and enthusiasm was the core of the trip! Asked on September 1st, 2025I'd like to know which is the closest airport to the starting and end point? If I'd like to book for October 5th, is that trip still available for 1 traveller for a private room?
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written September 2025The starting and ending point of the tour will be at a hotel in Rome, which is currently listed as Excel Roma Montemario. The closest airport is Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO), although Rome Ciampino Airport (CIA) is also an option depending on your flights. Please note that the hotel allocation is still subject to change, and the final details will be shared in your Tour Leader Announcement closer to departure. I'm happy to confirm that the October 5th departure is still available, and you can secure a private room by selecting the single supplement upgrade. Availability for private rooms is limited, and this departure is selling quickly, so we recommend proceeding soon via our website to either place a hold or finalize your booking.

Asked on August 23rd, 2025Where in Rome should we meet for the European highlights tour?
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written August 2025You meet the group at a central hotel in Rome. I can give you the name of the hotel but I would need to know which departure you would like to join.

Asked on August 18th, 2025cost of insurance of this tour
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written August 2025We highly recommend obtaining comprehensive travel insurance, ensuring you won't need to worry about emergencies that can happen anytime, anywhere, before or during your travels. Insurance can cover the cost of your adventure(s) in the case of an unforeseen cancellation. It ensures that you do not have to worry about any unplanned changes to your travel plans, such as having to rush home to an ill family member or having an adventure changed or cancelled because of a natural disaster. It can even help with smaller things - like lost luggage or stolen cameras. When selecting a travel insurance policy we recommend a minimum coverage of USD 200,000 for repatriation and emergency rescue. We strongly recommend that the policy also covers personal liability, medical, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects.

Asked on August 7th, 2025Can you please provide the visa requirements for these countries?
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written August 2025Visa requirements will depend on the nationality or passport you hold, so the best next step is to check with a reputable visa or travel agency for the most up-to-date information. For your reference, the European Highlights tour visits: France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium — and all of these are part of the Schengen Area. This means that for most nationalities requiring a visa, you'll likely need a Schengen visa to cover your entire trip. Please note: While we aim to provide accurate guidance, we are not a registered visa agency. We strongly recommend confirming this information with a reputable travel or visa agent, as entry requirements can change unexpectedly.

Asked on August 4th, 2025I want to know the meeting point and also time to book flights
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written August 2025The starting and end point for this tour is the following Hotel in Rome. Excel Roma Montemario, Via degli Scolopi, 31, 00136 Roma RM, Italy. For Flight Bookings, you can choose to book your flights first before booking the tour, or the other way around. Truly dependent on your preference.

Traveler•Written August 2025An i stay at the hotel the night before so i can be there in the morning for the tour?
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written August 2025The Meet up Hotel for this tour is only for the group to gather and then board the coach. No accommodation in that Hotel is booked for the tour. If you arrive in Rome a day before the tour starts, you can choose to book your Pre-tour accommodation on that Hotel or anywhere close, but that is not part of the package and you will have to pay separately.

Asked on July 14th, 2025Looking for price detailed for two adult and on child (13 years). Interested Departure Date: Sunday 5 October, 2025
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written July 2025Travellers aged 10 to 17 are very welcome on our tours, as long as they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who will take full responsibility throughout the trip. We aren't able to accommodate unaccompanied minors. Unfortunately, only one seat is currently available on Sunday, 5 October 2025, so that date won't be suitable for your group of three. We have upcoming departures with more availability: Sunday, 12 October 2025 - 4 seats available, Wednesday, 15 October 2025 - 10 seats available. When booking for more than one person, we'll always pair travellers from the same booking in twin-share rooms unless you request otherwise.
