Mediterranean Coach / Bus Tour Reviews
- Croatia and the Balkans
I loved the Croatia and Balkans tour. It was the perfect mix of structured activities and free time. Our G Adventures CEO Adin was amazing. I would’ve liked one more day in Split, though.

"I have done 4 previous Trafalgar Tours and would have to say this one was a certain highlight. Our tour director Tiago was ""simply the best "" Nothing was too much trouble and his knowledge was fantastic! Our guide in Morrocco was so informative and provided us with an insight into their way of life he to went out f his way to assist and answer any questions we had. We were able to learn and see so much through these countries it truly was a fantastic experience . Hats off to Tiago and our wonderful bus drivers who ensured every detail was covered. I travelled with a cam boot on at not once was I felt to feel like it was an issue."

Mediterranean coach tours provide 3-4 star hotels that balance comfort with convenience. Common choices include Hotel Internacional in Zagreb Valamar Lacroma in Dubrovnik and Hotel Bristol in Opatija. A TourRadar traveler notes: "The hotels were pretty good although varying in standard. Breakfasts were sumptuous and most hotels had good city restaurants." Each room comes with private bathrooms and hotels typically offer standard amenities like restaurants bars and WiFi access. Locations tend to be either central or within easy reach of main attractions.
How do Mediterranean coach tours handle border crossings between countries?
Border procedures are built into the schedule of Mediterranean tours particularly when traveling between Croatia Bosnia Montenegro and Albania. Crossing times range from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the checkpoint and season. One TourRadar traveler shares: "When you go through 22 different borders the chances of a few hiccups are always there. So it should be taken in stride." Tour guides manage all necessary documentation though passengers need to keep passports easily accessible throughout the journey.

The Mediterranean coach tour season peaks from May to September during the warmest driest months. Summer temperatures from June to August often exceed 30°C/86°F along coastal areas. Spring and fall months (April-May and September-October) bring milder weather and smaller crowds. How do Mediterranean coach tours handle language differences across multiple countries?
Tours employ bilingual tour directors who speak English and Spanish with additional local expert guides in major cities. A TourRadar traveler reports: "Our guide Riad mastered the translation very well between English and Spanish ensuring no lack of information." Specialized guides lead tours at significant sites like the Alhambra Palace Cordoba's Mezquita and Morocco's ancient medinas.
