What people love about Moselle Cruises
- Romantic Moselle River Cruise (Mainz-Mainz) - MS Crucevita 4*sup
A great tour. Good value. As advertised
- Moselle Discovery 2026
Party of six Americans on the 5 night Moselle cruise. We were the only English speaking on the boat but the crew made us feel special. Food was very good and the open bar worked out great. If I had to give a con it would be for the entertainment at night,,But we had a great time. Would return in a heartbeat..
- The Rhine & Moselle: Canals, Vineyards and Castles 2025
It was one of my best vacations ever! We had a suite. The room was the perfect size and the bathroom was huge! The meals were excellent with plenty of wine at dinner. They didn't really offer wine or beer at lunch but you could get it if you asked for it. I loved the fact that there were only 120 people on board and we got to know everyone. It is so much better than a huge cruise ship. The guides in port were excellent and very knowledgeable. Our cruise director was very good and kept things moving along nicely as well as making everyone on board feel welcome. My only suggestion for future cruises is to let people know that they offer transfers from the airport. My husband and I were the only ones who knew that they were offered only because we asked in advance. Also, I was surprised that the bar was hardly ever open while we were cruising.
What our customers ask about Moselle River Cruises
Which Towns Should You Really Not Miss on Your Moselle Cruise?
Cochem's definitely a highlight with this incredible Reichsburg Castle that looks like it's straight out of a fairy tale sitting up there on the hill watching over everything. Then there's Trier which is actually Germany's oldest city if you can believe it packed with Roman ruins the Porta Nigra gate and this amazing amphitheater that really takes you back in time. Bernkastel-Kues is another must-see with its medieval marketplace and these gorgeous half-timbered houses that'll make you feel like you've stepped back in time.
Can Active Travelers Get Their Fix on a Moselle River Cruise?
Oh absolutely! Travelers really love the Moselle Bike & Barge tour that runs for 8 days starting in Koblenz. You get to cycle along these beautiful riverbanks during the day and then come back to your comfortable barge at night. The route takes you past stunning spots like Eltz Castle and you'll even get to explore Piesport which is actually Germany's oldest wine village.
What About Experienced Travelers Looking for the Real Deal?
If you're after authentic experiences you'll want to check out places like Piesport the oldest wine community on the Moselle. Here's where you can really dive into local life exploring Roman wine cellars tasting wines directly from small family producers and wandering through streets lined with historic buildings. The Moselle Discovery cruise starting from Cologne gets great reviews from travelers who want to really experience the valley's authentic charm with stops in Cochem Bernkastel-Kues and Trier.
