It had been marketed as a "small group" tour but in most cases, we were very pleased to find that we had a tour guide and driver, just for ourselves. All arrangements went extremely smoothly and nothing was out of place. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and really enhanced our experiences. The drivers were also very good. The tour organisers were attentive and answered our questions very quickly. So, for organisation, ten out of ten and for welcome and cultural experience, also ten out of ten. Nothing in this world is perfect and our two slightly negative points were that the internal flight from Chiang Rai to Krabi was in two sectors. We had to change at Bangkok and wait a long time at the departure gate for our early evening connection on to Krabi. This resulted in us arriving uncomfortably late in the hotel on Ao Nang and we wasted a whole day rather than half a day travelling. Non-stop flights are available and we would have much preferred this option. Also, the hotel that we had been booked into in Bangkok, was not up to our expectations although it was well located. It was not what had been described. Decor was old and worn out and the hotel had few, if any other amenities. Just a basic room in a basic hotel. Legend Travel Group via Tour radar was excellent from start to finish they gave excellent communication, answered all our questions fast. When we arrived at every location the driver and tour guide was waiting for us, as well as every morning they were on time and ready to go. The tour was so awesome and we saw all of Thailand in 14 days! The hotels were nice and almost all were in the heart of the city's so that after the tour you could walk the city and go have dinner and go to the night markets. I highly recommend this tour and Thailand is the land of smiles and beautiful friendly people and yummy food! The organisation was superb, everything worked very smoothly and Mr Danny / Mr Tony at Legend were always very prompt to reply clearly to queries. We felt that they were very reliable. All the hotels were very good, very clean and very comfortable. The places visited were very interesting and we enjoyed all the activities, which were well diversified throughout the trip. Our tour guide in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, Omi, was superb, a delightful lady who explained to us not only the places but much background about life in Thailand. She was very clear and very helpful.Also the cooking school was very good. Kiki, our guide for the day in Bangkok was also very good and she explained a lot to us. The driver, Mr Sam, was really good and we were pleased that he also did the airport transfers in Bangkok. Thailand had always been one of those bucket list trips for me & I decided it was time to take the adventure! I looked at several travel sites, read blogs & tried to figure out if I should plan it myself or go with a tour. We have never been on a tour (we are 66 y/o) & I had been too busy to try to plan a 3 wk trip to a country we had never been to & one that was so different from Canada. I decided a tour was the best option. I came across TourRadar, chose Thailand & it opened up a world of tours at my fingertips from the comfort of my laptop! I chose the The best Experiences of Thailand: Mountains to the Seas 14 day tour which gave us an overview of different lifestyles, cultures, food & activities in all regions. Legend Travel Group a local group from Vietnam coordinated the tour. Tony Bui was our contact with Legend, it was so easy to communicate with him via the TourRadar email/messaging system. I was convinced he never slept!! My questions/requests were always dealt with promptly & efficiently. We extended our 14 day tour with a couple of extra days in Bangkok & in the south where the islands & beaches are. We chose to upgrade our hotel stay in the south as we were spending extra time on the beach. A couple of the 3 star hotels on the tour weren't great however we only spent 1-2 nites there. I did tell Tony they weren't great & will add that to this review if there's an option to do so. Everything went smoothly, the tours from Bangkok, Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai were incredible as well as island/snorkelling tours in the south. We were able to add a couple of things along the way with the help of amazing tour guides. Our first tour guide, Nana (Sayananonttha Patcharaboon) greeted us at the airport & welcomed us to Thailand. Her experience & personal interaction with tourists set the bar for the success of our tour. I feel she went above & beyond to ensure we were comfortable at our hotel (she helped condense a lengthly Thai Gluten Free dining info card I had brought as my husband is celiac into a short restaurant friendly version, gave us her what's app contact, helped me get a Thai sim card at a nearby 7-11, showed us around the area of our first hotel, outlined our itinerary with her over the next few days, help select traditional Thai dishes for us to try on our tours, helped with subway directions for us on our off day, helped with currency exchange at the airport etc!) We felt we had made a friend for life! Our second tour guide in the Chiang Mai area, Da, was lovely but not quite as helpful as Nana had been. The van drivers were always punctual, reliable & we always felt safe traveling from one stop to the next. Danny with Legend Tours organized all our local flights, which went flawlessly with the tour guides making sure we knew where we were going once in the beautiful Bangkok airport. We are grateful we were able to enjoy this absolutely beautiful country & it's people. Also for 5 star hotels specifically the ones on the islands are the resorts right on the beach ect? On what the accommodations are for the 5 star options and 4 star?

Therefore, if you prefer staying right by the beach, we highly recommend choosing the 5-star hotel package to ensure you enjoy the most luxurious and scenic accommodations throughout your stay.

In the original tour package, you will visit and stay in Krabi, not Phuket. There is no overnight stay in Phuket included in the standard itinerary. However, if you wish to extend your trip in Phuket after the tour, you are absolutely welcome to do so. You can arrange your own transfer from Krabi to Phuket at the end of the tour. Once you're in Phuket, we can assist by booking your internal flight from Phuket back to Bangkok, or you can fly home directly from Phuket if that suits your international flight plan.
