Bangkok was enchanting, with countless activities to enjoy, and both my tour guide and driver were friendly and punctual, ensuring we stayed on schedule. Kanchanaburi was equally captivating, and Chiang Mai stole my heart, especially the elephant sanctuary, which was the highlight of my trip. However, the lodging could use some improvement. Krabi, on the other hand, was absolutely fantastic! The much-needed "me time" was well worth it after traveling from north to south. My hotel boasted breathtaking views of the stunning rock formations, making my stay even more memorable. They then match your needs to those of other clients and if a match is made a group is formed. If no match is made you tour by yourself with a guide and driver. We were matched with a young Austrian couple who spoke excellent English. They were great fun and added to the enjoyment of the trip. If the choices are yours, the main areas for critical assessment are the selection of guides and drivers, how your accommodation stacks up against its star rating, the efficiency and promptness of tour arrangements and your satisfaction level with any sub-tours organised via other tourist companies. In general, all of these assessments had an EXCELLENT rating. We had an excellent English-speaking guide (Gift) and driver (Sunshine) for our 3 day Bangkok/Kanchanaburi tour. The day tour to the Bridge on the River Kwai and Hellfire Gorge as part of our Chang Mai segment were well organised, with another excellent guide and driver. All pickups were on time, in comfortable vans, most looking a bit like night clubs on wheels. We had no complaints about any of our accommodation, even in the more remote rural areas. When lunches were included, the food was always tasty and adequate. So in summary an extremely enjoyable and well organised tour, where everything conformed with the tour schedule. My husband and I are not the best at taking photos of ourselves, but Giftsy was always taking photos of us. Both Giftsy and Mr. Sunshine went out of their way to take us to some night markets. The destinations we were able to go see were so beautiful and full of history! The temples and waterfalls were breathtaking. While in Chiang Mai, we met up with Ae, our tour guide, for that city. She was so much fun! Her attitude was infectious and it made the tour even better than expected. The city was gorgeous and full of history. We chose to do the elephant tour which was extremely fun and everything was arranged by the tour group so all we had to do was show up. After Chiang Mai we flew down to Krabi and did the Phi Phi island tour which was so much and absolutely breath taking. It included snorkeling, shopping, and swimming. It was really nice to end the trip with two days to relax in Krabi. I recommend renting a scooter and going to the hot springs or Emerald Falls. Just going around the area is beautiful enough though. If you choose to stay at the same 5-star hotel included in the tour package, we can easily extend your booking there for the extra nights, and your airport transfer will be arranged accordingly. The price is 170 USD per room per night. If you prefer to stay at a different hotel, that's perfectly fine too — we can still help arrange a private airport transfer for you, though there may be a small adjustment depending on the location.
