Itinerary
- Day 1
Ho Chi Minh City
You'll land at Ho Chi Minh City airport whenever suits you best, and a Legend Travel Group driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel. Once you've checked in and settled, the rest of the day is yours to wander around the city and get a feel for how things work here. It's a good time to grab some street food or just walk the neighborhoods.

Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast at the hotel, head to Notre Dame Cathedral and check out the historic Central Post Office that Gustave Eiffel designed. From there, move on to the Reunification Palace before driving out to the Cu Chi Tunnels, where you'll learn about Vietnam War history and walk through the underground network. You'll get back to Ho Chi Minh City for the night.

Ho Chi Minh City to Hoi An
Your guide picks you up at 8:00 am after breakfast for the drive to My Tho on the Mekong River. You'll explore islands that produce traditional handicrafts and visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda by boat. Later, you'll return to Ho Chi Minh City, then fly to Da Nang and transfer to Hoi An where you'll stay the night.

Hoi An
In Hoi An, you'll walk through the historic old town visiting a temple with Chinese-Japanese influences, a pagoda dedicated to sailors and fishermen, and the Sa Huynh Museum near the Japanese Covered Bridge. During the afternoon, take a boat trip on the Thu Bon River to Kim Bong Village to see traditional woodworkers and shipbuilders at work. By evening, you'll have time to explore Hoi An Ancient Town on your own.

Hoi An
You'll cycle 3km to Tra Que Vegetable Village in the morning to see organic farming firsthand, learn to prepare soil and plant vegetables, then get a 15-minute herbal foot massage. After that, join a cooking class with a local family to make Hoi An specialties like Tam Huu Spring Rolls and Banh Xeo Pancakes, then eat lunch together. You're back around 3:30 pm with the rest of the day free for Hoi An Town or Cua Dai beach.

After breakfast, your driver picks you up at 9:00 am for the drive to Hue City. There's a break at Lang Co Beach before reaching Hue in the afternoon. Check in and then explore the imperial city at your own pace.

Later, transfer to the airport for your flight to Hanoi and check in at your hotel.

After breakfast, you'll see Hanoi's major landmarks including Tran Quoc Pagoda on Golden Fish Island, the Ho Chi Minh Complex with his mausoleum and residences, and the One Pillar Pagoda. Visit the Vietnam Ethnology Museum (or Women's Museum if it's Monday), have lunch at your hotel restaurant, then check out the Temple of Literature and Hoa Lo Prison. Head back for a relaxing evening.

Your mini-van picks you up between 8:30 and 9:00 am for the 3.5-hour drive to Halong City, passing countryside and rice paddies along the way. You'll board an authentic Chinese Junk and cruise through Halong Bay, exploring Amazing Cave and swimming in the emerald waters before anchoring for the night. There's dinner, sunset views, and the option to swim in phosphorescent water or sleep under the stars.

You'll drive back to Hanoi, arriving around 3:30 to 4:00 pm, then check in at your hotel and explore the Old Quarter with its street food and shops.

Luang Prabang
After breakfast, you have the option to participate in the morning alms-giving to saffron-clad monks, a tradition unique to Laos. You'll visit Phosi Market, then tour Wat Sene and Wat Xieng Thong temples. During the afternoon, take an upstream cruise on the Mekong River with stops at Pak Ou Caves, Ban Xanghai rice wine village, and Ban Phanom weaving village. Visit Khouangri Waterfall, explore ethnic minority villages, swim in turquoise pools, and see Ban Xangkong silk weaving and traditional Saa Paper village. End the day watching the sunset at Wat Phabath.

Vientiane
You'll explore Vientiane's major sights including Wat Sisaket with over 8,000 Buddha statues, Wat Ho Phra Keo which once housed the Emerald Buddha, and That Luang Stupa, Laos's most important monument. See Patuxai, which is like the Lao Arc de Triomphe and commemorates wartime deaths. In the afternoon, check out Buddha Park near the Friendship Bridge with roughly 200 Buddhist and Hindu sculptures. The day ends with a sunset view over the Mekong River.

See the National Museum with over 5,000 art antiques and the Independence Monument. Walk through the riverfront park where four rivers meet, then climb the sacred Phnom Daun Penh hill and pagoda.
