- Robert· September 18th, 2025This was a great tour of places in Türkiye that, having read about them, now have greater meaning. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and explained the place of the various locations in the broader scheme of the history of that part of the world. That said, be prepared to absorb a lot of information as understanding the relationship between the various sites will add to your experience. Also know that there will be a considerable amount of walking on uneven surfaces (some of the sites are still active archaeological sites) - so be prepared. Depending on the time of year it can be quite hot - so carrying water is essential. Thoroughly recommended.Show more

Asked on January 31st, 2023I am interested in the nine day trip to ancient Anatolia leaving June 2. However, I would like to know if there's any option to see Hyssos on this trip? Seems like it is pretty large part of early history of the area And the Hittites were a pretty amazing culture.

Traveler•Written February 2023I am curious to know how fixed the locations are for this tour? It seems to include things that are not part of ancient Turkey and ignores things that were part of ancient Turkey. An important part of the history from the Paleolithic into Hittite/Egyptian times. So is there any flexibility in the planning of this tour, or does everybody have to go to the exact same places that are specified in the tour that were not part of ancient Turkey?
