What people love about Turkey Tours from Istanbul

- 10 Days Wonders of Turkey
The destinations were all interesting, ground and air transportation itself were good but the organization could be a lot better, the guides and hotel rooms and hotels were hit or miss. For example, on our second day in Instanbul the day we fly out for Izmir, the guide was two hours late for a 9am meeting time. He was super frazzled and he lost half of the group once. The first time he was about to lose the crowd, I yelled for him to stop. We then had to rush to the airport in a panic and traffic was like nothing any of us had seen before. For our flight to Antalya, we were dropped off 4 hours early at the Izmir airport. We arrived at the hotel well past midnight and skipping the tour to sleep in and enjoy Antalya on my own was the best decision I made to reset for Cappodocia as the Hot Air Balloon Ride pick up was at 4:45am. Yesra in Kusadasi was an incredible guide and the first guide in Istanbul for the Mosque tour was also good. I skipped Antalya so I can't comment on him. Book your own Hot Air Balloon Ride early as they all offer a full refund if the ride is cancelled due to weather conditions. The tour operator tells you he can't book until the finish line for weather reasons but it's all to try to sell you on inflated pricing. He lied to us and told us the group we had already met didn't fly on a given day when we have pictures from them flying with a Balloon Company they found on their own. Balloon Companies in Cappadocia are everywhere and they all offer hotel pick up.
- From Istanbul to the Coast: An 8-Day Adventure through Turkey's Most Beautiful Landscapes
Tour itinerary is very tight especially in kusadasi and cappadocia. Clarification needed for Istanbul sites as it is a walking tour and no transportation is provided. Hotel was close to most sites. Some sites require 2-3 hours minimum to really explore. Our guide Halil in Kusadasi is phenomenal. He has deep knowledge of history and was so welcoming of questions. Our guide in Cappadocia was excellent at problem solving as there were issues with entrance fees which advertised as accepting euros but did not. He was adept at finding a solution to allow payment in liras. Lots of walking so those with mobility issues may find some sites challenging. Generally, tour was a small taste of the beauty of Turkey. Some hiccups that were frustrating at times but given the planning logistics, was overall negligible. Lunches in Istanbul are preset and the fish restaurant was delicious. Hotel staff were all welcoming and very kind. At recital hotel in Istanbul a staff member shared his cough medicine?
