  This was our 2nd trip with One Seed and once again they exceeded expectations. If you are looking for adventure but want to be safe these are the folks that can deliver. It is hard to find sufficient superlatives to describe the One Seed experience. On our recent trip to Nepal for an Annapurna Discovery Trek, the team, including regional manager and guide, greatly exceeded our expectation. The Nepal Manager, Tek Bahadur Dong, was well informed and attentive to our needs. He clearly knew how to navigate the Katmandu region providing us with an excellent orientation on our arrival. Subsequent preparation for our trek including touring the capital city and checking our gear made us feel comfortable and prepared. He answered our questions with skill and a depth of understanding that transcended competency encompassing Napal history, mountain challenges and local logistics. Accommodations in Katmandu and Pokhara were outstanding. His choice of trekking Tea Houses was likewise thoughtful. Do be prepared that on the trek the accommodations may be somewhat primitive. Our trekking guide Suruchi Rai had extensive knowledge of the Annapurna region grounded in years of hiking the trails and visiting tea houses. Patient and sturdy she kept us at an appropriate pace to reach our daily goals. She had a breadth of naturalist knowledge that was unusual for someone in her field. Passing farms, she would discuss the various crops and livestock by type, distribution and history. In the forests she likewise discussed the indigenous plants and animals often pulling sprigs or flowers describing features such as smells or adaptive traits. Although the trekking was challenging, our guide was cognizant of our needs including hydration, hunger, health issues. Based on our pace she would accurately predict our arrivals and prepare us for the steep ups and downs of the trails. Organized, warm engaging and friendly, Tek and Suruchi made us feel totally at ease whether on the streets of Katmandu or on the trail or at the nightly lodging. If you are looking for immersive adventure, One Seed should be your choice!!

  Thank you for a fabulous experience. Our guide was great! Her organization skills made our trip go smoothly. She anticipated our needs and always had a positive attitude. The weather cooperated and we enjoyed beautiful views of the Himalayas everyday!

  My trek in Annapurna with One Seed was outstanding. While the culture, scenery, and Nepalese people were as amazing as advertised , it was my companions and the tour guide Tek and his crew who really made the trip special. We were a small group that seemed to have resembled a mom (that would be me) trekking with her 4 adult children. We were from 3 different continents and had the accents to prove it! I believe we appeared as family because we were so comfortable together and clearly enjoying being together. I credit Tek's guide skills and the warmth he and his crew shared with us for a remarkable trip as an international"family". OneSeed is a well run company with which I hope to book many more tours.

  OneSeed has an amazing business model in addition to guides and an itinerary that are equally, if not more, amazing. Our small group was warmly welcomed from the minute that we deboarded our places. The food was delicious, we lucked out with the weather, and I learned a lot, from our guides, the locals, and my fellow travelers.

  Really enjoyable small group tour. Trekking was challenging at times (lots of stairs!) but all done at your own pace and taking enough time to enjoy the local villages, scenery and milk tea. Guide and guides-in-training were professional, friendly and loved to dance!

  I’v Been on two treks with One Seed. The experience has been incredible! Of course the scenery has been spectacular. The professionalism of One Seeds staff always makes the trip comfortable and free from worries about logistics, language, local customs, etc.

  My 'Annapurna discovery' trek beat all the expectations: cheerful and knowledgeable guides, sensational scenery, very good weather, great group altogether and luck with transportation (beginning of that crisis when Nepal-India border was effectively closed for fuel et al.)

  This was our first trek, one seed was fantastic. There was a never ending list of questions to ensure everything was fine from both the guides as wall as guides in training. Are you tired, are you hungry, are you thirsty etc... During the trek we encountered other tour groups and after a short period of time it was evident that ours was much better and they had wished that they had used one seed. The views were fantastic. Accommodations were as expected, no frills, but were generally clean.
