It's mostly sitting in a vehicle but necessary to reach the trekking starting point.

Dharapani to Chame
The first real trekking day takes you through jungle terrain as you climb toward Temang. From there you continue through Thanchowk where you'll have lunch and get views of Mt. Manaslu. Later you'll reach Chame, a district headquarters with good views of Mt. Annapurna II. The trail feels real now, not just driving, and you're gaining elevation steadily.

Lunch comes at Dhikur Pokhari, then it's an afternoon hike to Lower Pisang and up to Upper Pisang. There's a monastery worth checking out when you arrive, and the elevation helps with acclimatization.

Pisang to Manang
Today you get to choose your route to Manang. The southern way through Humde is less demanding, while the northern route via Ghayru and Nawal gives better views of the Annapurna Range if you want the challenge. Either way, both paths merge at Munji before a final 2-hour climb to Manang. Both options work fine, just depends on your preference.

Gangapurna, Gangapurna Lake, and Tilicho Peak. The rest of the day you can wander around the village, grab meals at local spots, and rest at your guesthouse. This downtime is important before harder days ahead.

Timing matters here because you need to cross by 10 am before winds pick up and weather gets unpredictable. Once you're over the pass, it's another 4 hours down to Muktinath at 3,800m, a major pilgrimage site for both Hindu and Buddhist visitors. The altitude gain is brutal but the descent brings relief.
