Flight to Cape Town
Your flight to Cape Town departs today. Depending on where you're traveling from, this could be an overnight flight, so settle in and try to get some rest.

Cape Town to Stellenbosch
After landing in Cape Town, you'll head to wine country and arrive in Stellenbosch. This evening there's a welcome dinner with other travelers, though if you arrive after 21:00, the group gathering starts tomorrow morning instead.

Stellenbosch and Franschhoek
A guided walk takes you through Stellenbosch, exploring the wine town and university area. Then you'll head to a wine estate for tastings and snacks. Later, you'll drive to Franschhoek to check out galleries, antique shops, and boutiques before heading back to Stellenbosch.

Stellenbosch to Montagu
After breakfast, you'll drive across one of South Africa's most scenic passes through Klein Karoo valleys toward Montagu. The route includes a stop at a local farm where you can stretch your legs and pick up regional specialties.

Montagu to Oudtshoorn
Following Route 62, you'll reach Oudtshoorn and visit the famous Cango Caves. From there it's on to your ostrich farm accommodation. Tonight's dinner features ostrich meat with a glass of port wine.

Oudtshoorn to Graaff-Reinet
Driving through the Great Karoo, you'll explore Graaff-Reinet and then make your way to Valley of Desolation. The unusual rock formations here are worth lingering over with a cold drink as the day winds down.

Graaff-Reinet to Addo National Park
You'll travel along the coast to South Africa's second largest national park, created to protect the elephant population. A minibus drive through the park gives you your first wildlife sightings. Dinner features a traditional South African barbecue with local specialties.

Addo National Park Safari

Addo National Park to Cape St. Francis
Heading to Cape St. Francis harbor, you'll join a chokka tour with squid tasting. A beach walk takes you to the lighthouse before you settle into beachfront lodging. The evening brings another group dinner.

Cape St. Francis to Knysna
In Tsitsikamma National Park, you'll hike for 45 minutes to reach Storms River Bridge. Then it's on to Knysna for an orientation walk around the lagoon town. You'll stroll the waterfront and catch the sunset with a sundowner drink.

Knysna to Heidelberg
Time for either a coastal stroll in Mossel Bay or relaxing at a viewpoint. From there, you'll pass through the Overberg region with a stop at an aloe vera farm before reaching Heidelberg. Tonight includes a local Amarula drink and hearty barbecue.

A farm tour shows you how ostrich farming works. Then you'll explore Swellendam with its Cape Dutch architecture and visit Wildebraam Berry Estate. You'll stop at Cape Agulhas where two oceans meet, then continue to the coastal town of Hermanus.

On a Cape Town city tour, you'll check out Green Market Square and the colorful Bo-Kaap district where traditional samosas are on the menu. Table Mountain offers views if weather cooperates, otherwise Signal Hill provides equally great panoramas. The evening ends at the lively V&A Waterfront.

The scenic Chapmans Peak Drive takes you to Cape of Good Hope. At Cape Point, you can hike to the lighthouse or take the cogwheel train (bookable on-site). Afterward, you'll see the penguins at Boulders Beach and enjoy a picnic before returning to Cape Town.
