You'll arrive in Rome and get settled after your journey. Take a walk through the old streets if you're not too tired, then connect with your travel companions and Travel Director for an orientation drive through the city so you can get your bearings on where everything is.

Rome
This morning you'll see Rome's iconic landmarks starting with the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica, then head to Ancient Rome to check out Circus Maximus and the Colosseum. By evening you'll sit down to traditional Roman cuisine at dinner with time to reflect on the day.

Rome
You have a full free day to explore Rome at your own pace or head out on a day trip to Tivoli if you prefer. Spend time wandering Rome's beautiful squares, see the Trevi Fountain, or check out whatever attractions interest you most around the city.

Rome to Florence
You'll travel to Florence by high-speed train, watching the Tuscan countryside roll past your window. Once there, a Local Specialist leads a walking tour showing you Renaissance landmarks like Ponte Vecchio, the statue of David at the Fine Arts Academy, and Piazza della Signoria with its Palazzo Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery.

Florence to Pisa
Start by viewing Florence's skyline from Piazzale Michelangelo, then drive through the Arno Valley to Pisa. You'll explore the Square of Miracles and see the famous Leaning Tower along with the Cathedral, Baptistery, and Camposanto. Lunch happens at Agriturismo Borgo Vigna Vecchia surrounded by vineyards. Later in the evening, you can explore the Arno River, find gelato, admire the lit Duomo, or visit a local wine bar.
