You don’t have the same tour guide the whole time, and you’re often with selfish passengers who don’t think the “return time” applies to them. Janice· June 22nd, 2025Very good trip! The itinerary was well planned with well timed stops and appropriate durations. Everything from buses to hotels was well organized. They had arranged group check-in at hotels and the guide made sure everyone received their room key and instructions. All provided meals were very good and served quickly. One minor complaint, it was a little difficult to understand the guides while on the bus. About 85 or 90% of the tour customers were Chinese therefore the guides were Chinese and that makes perfect sense. The guides were friendly and always polite, and they spoke very good english. Unfortunately, at times there were hard to understand when speaking over the bus loudspeaker. We were very pleased with our trip experience, and recommend you consider Calgary Tours.Show more

Little dissapointed with tour coordinators, Calgary Tours. They seem to cater for a group of people and have guides speaking dual languages with English their 2nd language. It was difficult to under the accents of tour guides and a bit was lost in translation. But, we were so tired at end of day it didn’t matter. Other accommodations were fine. Hard to understand tour guides at times, but not their fault since other guests were talking over the guide. The accommodations provided were also fantastic. Our only complaint would be that each tour guide would blatantly ask for their daily tip, making everyone feel quite uncomfortable. Tips are supposed to be recommended and voluntary. In particular, Jesse had a list of every single passenger on the bus and made it a point of marking who tipped him and who did not. If you would like to include a VIA Rail experience in your tour, please consider the 7-day tour listed below. This tour includes an economy seat by default, with the option to upgrade to a sleeper berth for an additional fee.

Cancellation policy details: 10% charge if more than 32 days before departure, 60% charge 15-31 days before, completely non-refundable within 14 days. For this tour with Fairmont Hotels, booking is 100% non-refundable once confirmed. Group tour has fixed itinerary, so leaving midway means missing some parts. We can help book an extra night in Banff.

After the tour, we return to Calgary. If you have a return flight, book it after 9:30 PM. We can arrange a post-stay in Calgary and provide airport drop-off. If you want to stay in Banff, airport transfer is not included, but we can arrange a shuttle bus.

We are unable to give a precise answer to this question, as the travel times vary each day. What we let you know is that the longest travel time between attractions could be 2 to 2.5 hours or longer. If you're concerned about restroom access, there are usually restrooms available at the attractions, and the tour guide will remind you of them. You can also ask the guide directly if you have any concerns.

Unfortunately, this is a group tour rather than a private tour, so we are unable to include horseback riding during the tour. However, you may consider joining our 6-day tour, booking an extended stay in Banff, and arranging a horseback riding tour on day 6. Then, you can rejoin our bus tour on day 7, which will return to Calgary airport after tour.
