The first two hotels were two star but the hotel in Florence and Venice met our expectations. We got totally ripped off on a "five star" dining excursion in Maori - terrible food and service all for $200 Canadian per couple. Our coach and driver were excellent. The tour itinerary met our expectations. After looking at the other reviews we realize September / early October are busy months and Trafalgar will sacrifice the quality of your hotel experience to book extra tours and make the extra dollar - they added an extra coach to our tour (doubled the number of tourists) for our tour dates.Show moreTrip date: September 2018
- JJamesGray· September 27th, 2018Not enough time in some of the excursions. Most of the hotels were below par, in one instance or original hotel was cancel and we stayed in minori. Had to split up our group between hotels, we stayed in the 53 a night hotel with cold cereal and pastries for breakfast, while the other group stayed in a 106 a night hotel with a hot breakfast of pancakes,eggs, bacon, pastries and miscellaneous items. We were given a fruit plate for compensation, not even close to 120 dollars worth of differance. No other offer for the difference. Don't think I will use them again,nor recommend them. Would rather pay a few dollars more for better accommodations. Be careful when you book a trip.Show moreTrip date: September 2018

- RWRJ· September 30th, 2017Just completed the Italian Concerto tour. The Guide, Dominic was great, he made the tour very fun and interesting. The tour itself was not what I expected. The 4 star hotels were not good at all with the exception of Florence. The Rome hotel was very small and in poor condition, reminding me of a Motel 8 in USA. The hotel in Amalfi had mold on the ceiling of the lobby. Hotel in Venice had very rude wait staff. If you try to book these Hotels yourself you can find them for anywhere from 89 euro to 100 euro per night. As for the included part of the tour, it didn't cover much so you have to buy the "extras" to actually experience Italy. This adds another $1000 to $1500 to a trip for two. At the cost of approximately $800 per day already, (including coach air fare) this seemed like a bait and switch. The only thing that saved the trip for us was the other passengers.Show moreTrip date: September 2017

The tour will commence on September 9th with a departure from the hotel for the orientation drive at approximately 17:30. Following this, the welcome dinner will commence around 19:00. We do not currently offer a tour that includes a visit to the Colosseum. Optional experiences include: Day 2 - Inside the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel (€81.00 per adult), Roman Evening with Dinner (€71.00 per adult). Additional optional experiences available on Days 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
