Our trip was outstanding and we got lucky seeing a few rare sites- a huge pod of dolphins swimming alongside our boat, a bird eating a baby snake, a penguin swimming by us as we docked. And so much more! Our guide was superb- incredibly knowledgeable, charismatic, local to the island and super organized. My mother and I learned so much and made some true core memories. It is not compulsory, but as the machines can be loud, it may disturb other travelers. Does the traveler have a portable battery or are there any nights the traveler can go without using it? Can the traveler bring an extension cord in case the power points are far from the bed? Has the traveler checked whether their machine is compatible with the voltage/plug in their destination?

Asked on July 21st, 2025Is this tour the same group traveling together the entire time? Can you please give some information about the physical level for the tour? This description says "moderate", but elsewhere on the site, the physical description is described as "serious." Many stairs or steep hikes are difficult for me. My husband and I do not enjoy hiking, but love snorkeling.

Asked on July 8th, 2024I know the trip starts in San Cristobal but I am wondering what time and where we meet for the start of the tour. I am interested in the trip starting on the 24th of November. I will be flying in from Montreal Canada so I need to be there on time for the start of the tour. I am looking at flights and figure I will arrive on the 23rd and wondered about booking a hotel room somewhere near where the tour starts. Could you tell me where the meeting place will be, please? I also would like to stay an extra day or two at the end of the tour. Perhaps you can assist with booking a hotel in the area or perhaps just extend where we will be staying in Santa Cruz. Will you still provide a transfer to the Baltra airport if I stay an extra 2 days beyond Dec 1st?

As you'll be joining the trip on the Galapagos Islands, you have two options for meeting your group – at the San Cristobal Airport or your joining point hotel. Sunday departures can meet at the airport at 11:30 am, and Friday and Wednesday departures can meet at the airport at 12:30 pm. Your leader will be in the arrival hall with an Intrepid sign, waiting for passengers from Quito. If meeting in the hotel, you'll see your group approximately 1 hour after the airport meeting times. Joining point Casa de Nelly Hotel. Finishing point Lobo de Mar Hotel. We can assist you with booking extra accommodation at the hotels where the tour starts and ends. Additionally, we can arrange a departure transfer from Hotel Lobo de Mar to Baltra Airport.
