Adventure is planned from a distance but implemented hands on on the day of adventure. The stellar reward we dedicated guides who delivered fun and afventure hands on in a sharing and caring fashion. Caring is the key a passion for what they can and do share. And through these guides they took responsibility for making activities happen and getting you back safely to your hotel. Guides like Carlos who have us on of the best scuba dives of our lives. Magical. There was Ramiro Chlcalza who ekpt making sure we were ok. And to be honest Horseback Riding after a few years then bicycling after a long recess, swimming seein tortoises as babies, sea kyaking in the ocean, all take away lifetime experiences. Any yes we proceeded on rapelling note like the endless descent on ladders but one got the feel. So when one shares an experience with someone who cares about showing what they have to offer it is special sharing that comes seldom in the journey of life. Getting to know guides who have sedicated a lifetime to their craft like Marco Herrera is an honor. You get what can be seen and that which is not seen oftem every bit as fastenating. Great hiking ans 0d0m0s meands something. Special. Sp multisport adventure it was but leave aside sport, a multiple experience lifetime adventure shares a gratitude of people that cared. They cared about activities, about animals and naures and about their clients the guests that were honored enough to be sharing the adventure. This is gold and never to be forgotten.

This was such an amazing and affordable option for traveling to the mainland of Ecuador. Ecaudor has so much to offer and we feel that this tour showed us so much of it. The logistics of the itinerary were thoughtfully put together and made for such an easy time. We were given our pickup times and locations (mainly at our hotels) and someone was always there asking for us by name to take us either on a tour or a private drive to the next city. Isabel stayed on top of the tour companies that the sport activities were booked with to make sure we were taken care of at all times. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

    Asked on January 30th, 2025

Could you identify the airport names for arrival and departure? We are experienced Scuba Divers having dived annually for the last 5 years. We are excited by your two sites. Are there two scuba diving activities on San Cristobal Island and Santa Cruz Island? We have PADI and NAUI Cards. Have done all sports except Rappelling. Is this a challenge?

We are north of 70 (72/74) and have no medical or health issues for this tour. Can we participate?

    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten January 2025

Airport name for arrival is San Cristobal Island Airport and for departure is Baltra Airport. There are two scuba diving activities, one on San Cristobal Island and one on Santa Cruz Island. The tour includes all equipment for both diving activities. Rappel activity won't be difficult and does not require professional prior experience. With your active traveler background, you will enjoy it.

    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten January 2025

The age range is just a reference. At 72 and 74, you are more than ready to embark on this adventure.

Can you please clarify if one required a Padi license for Day 4? On Day 2 it does state that one would need it to go diving near Kicker Rock, however on Day 4 it does not state this.

At what time would you recommend one arrive on day 1?

    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten August 2023

A PADI license is not mandatory for the discovery dive; you can participate without any prior experience. The dive will take place at a depth of around 10m. If you do have a PADI license, you'll have the option to do a deeper dive.

    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten August 2023

All flights to the Galapagos depart from Quito or Guayaquil in the early morning, so you should arrive in San Cristobal around 11 am.

No worries about PADI license, you will have the chance to dive into 2 amazing sites in the Galapagos at San Cristobal and Santa Cruz, I will arrange these 2 activities to be super amazing for you and your husband.

    Asked on March 21st, 2023

What if you have no diving experience? Is this still worth it?

    Tour Details
    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten March 2023

For this tour, not only diving experience is required, but you also need to be PADI certified or similar with minimum logged dives. However, I can recommend another 7-Day trip in the Galapagos Islands with breathtaking snorkeling activities instead.

  • J

    Jamie

    Asked on December 5th, 2022

What is the typical group size on this trip? My husband and I have gone diving in several countries and are PADI certified, but we each only have 20 dives logged and have never gone without a guide, so we still consider ourselves somewhat of beginners. Are the dives on this trip appropriate for our diving experience/level? Will there be a guide? Is the equipment provided? And, if not, can all equipment be rented?

    • Responsible Travel South AmericaOperatorWritten December 2022

All activities in the Galapagos Islands will be arranged with other travelers in the Galapagos, but will not exceed 16 travelers total on a full-capacity day. The number of dives you have are perfect for the tour! Even though 20 dives is enough, you will also have the company of an experienced local diving exported guide on day #2 and day #4 of scuba diving. The previous evening you will have to show your logbook and have a short security briefing and equipment preparation. All equipment will be provided, except if you have any personal equipment that you would like to bring.
