The trip was great. You could find something a little more adventurous for the last three days in Namibia. Not sure what your covid regulations will be moving forward, but you have too have rapid tests for those who need them, I've had 2 g adventures this summer and the lack of testing kits wreaked havoc on both.

G Adventures are undoubted market leaders in the tours they provide. Our sixth trip and another brilliant experience. We're already thinking about the next one and won't consider any other providers. The reliability and professionalism is always outstanding. Thank you!

This was my first tour--I generally travel independently--and so first tour with G Adventures. I would call this tour an excellent "reconnaissance" introduction to this part of Africa. A lot was covered in these 30 days, and it gave me some ideas of where I might like to explore in more depth at a later date. This was also a great way to experience travel with a group and knowledgeable guides. If there is no upcoming section for these comments, I would like to add one note about The Farmhouse (Bulawayo). I understand an investigation is/has taken place regarding a presumed food poisoning event. Unlike others in my group, I am not convinced that this location was the cause. (I personally was unaffected by the food and drink at The Farmhouse. I also shared a room with the person who arrived at The Farmhouse sick, and contracted nothing.) I would be saddened to hear of this charming, friendly lodge losing business and/or its reputation based on hearsay.

The variety of experiences on this tour was exceptional. The safaris were amazing, particularly the rhino trekking and the Safari cruise on the Chobe River (the sunset cruise on the Zambezi was less of an actual Safari experience). The Great Zimbadwe Monument, the canyons, Victoria Falls and Namibia provided some wonderful variety from the safari experiences. I especially enjoyed the Living Desert activity in Namibia. Travelers may want to plan to participate in more optional activities on this tour compared to other G tours which did increase the cost considerably. The only less than positive experiences were excessive stomach illnesses which seem to have been related to a single accommodation and the failure of the skydiving activity to take my video (I was reimbursed for the cost of the video which the CEO handled capably, but it was more about the video than the money). I highly recommend the full 30-day tour to anyone seeking a Safari and Africa experience!!

Overall, an excellent tour. The pace was about right for us with a couple of days of needed rest. The Namibia tour required a lot of driving but I am not sure how to avoid that and see the main sights. I feel we received a great overview of the highlights of Southern Africa and look forward to visiting again with focus on more regional areas.

This trip is not to be missed! I have recommended this trip to dozens of friends since returning. This was our first group trip. We travel extensively and thought we would not enjoy a group trip, but we loved this small group tour. I booked another Nat Geo trip for my family as soon as we returned!

There will be opportunities to get laundry done while on tour, the guides will be sure to let you know what accommodations offer laundry service or if there are any laundromats near. Most travellers on this trip find that Swakopmund and Windhoek are convenient places to get their washing done, though facilities are available as well in Cape Town, and Victoria Falls. It is best to avoid bright colours, black, and white while on safari's as those can attract bugs. It is a great to have clothing with longer sleeves and long pants to be protected from mosquito bites.
