Itinerary
- Day 1OsloYou'll arrive in Oslo and head to your hotel in the city centre. After settling in, the rest of the day is yours to explore at your own pace. Karl Johan street is perfect for wandering, with plenty of shops, cafes, and bars to check out. The city has this nice mix of urban energy and nature all around it, plus you've got the Oslo fjord right there to take in. - Meals

- Day 2OsloFollowing breakfast, you can either spend the morning and afternoon exploring Oslo on your own or join an optional 5-hour guided bus tour. If you go the tour route, you'll see the Holmenkollen Ski Jump, walk through Vigeland Sculpture Park, and visit a couple of museums including the Fram Museum and Viking Ship Museum. There's also a 24-hour Oslo Pass option that gives you free transport and entry to most of the major attractions if that interests you. - Meals

- Day 3Oslo to BalestrandEarly start heading to Oslo train station around 07:00 to 07:15. From there, you'll board a train heading to Myrdal, then transfer to the Flåmsbana railway, which is one of the world's steepest train lines and really something to experience. The route takes you through fantastic landscape with waterfalls and about 20 tunnels carved right through the mountains. Once you arrive in Flåm, you'll have time to walk around this small village before boarding a cruise that takes you across the Sognefjord and Aurlandsfjord to Balestrand. - Meals

- Day 4BalestrandThis day is flexible, giving you time to relax and check out the region on your own terms. If you want something more structured, there's an optional half-day excursion to Fjærland available from June through mid-September. That option includes a boat trip through the fjord, a visit to the Norwegian Glacier Museum, and views of two glaciers, Bøyabreen and Supphellebreen. - Meals

- Day 5Balestrand to BergenLate in the afternoon, you'll board a fast boat heading to Bergen, which is a UNESCO World Heritage city and the main gateway to Norway's fjords. If time allows before heading to your hotel, there's a chance to visit the Magic Ice Bar for something different. After that, you'll settle into your hotel in this vibrant European City of Culture. - Meals

- Day 6BergenSpend the day exploring Bergen on your own. The Hanseatic Bryggen is worth seeing with its historic church, and Haakon Fortress is impressive if you want to check that out too. The fish market is famous for good reason and offers a real sense of local life. For great city views, take the Fløibanen funicular up Mountain Fløyen. Like in Oslo, there's a 24-hour Bergen City Card available that covers local transport and entry to most attractions. - Meals
