We only run trips on the given dates as these are part of our longer trip coming from East Africa and the logistics for our trucks need to match up with those. We do not arrange private tours so unfortunately cannot assist you with this, in that case I recommend to contact a Botswana or Southern africa tour specialist who can arrange a private trip for your dates.

I am interested in the Botswana Safari and would like to know the minimum age allowed. I have 2 children of 10 and 12 years old. If so, please confirm the price for a family of 4. If not, can you recommend another itinerary with similar price (or less) that does Kasane to Maun (or vice versa)?

We do not run tours suitable for younger children and only have a couple of short Kenyan safaris that would be suitable for children 12 and over only. Health and safety issues can be of concern and the conditions can prove rough for younger children living on the trucks and in fairly basic campsites day to day. The routines are quite demanding and the pace not geared with the flexibility needed to cope with the specific needs of younger children.

Can I make my way to Maun and then return to pick up my car?

There are no straightforward routes back to Victoria Falls, and most opt to book flights out of Maun.

What if I arrive late on the departure day?

It's advisable to arrive a day before to avoid any issues with the tour schedule.

Do I need a visa for this tour?

On the last day, we come out of the Delta and camp in Maun; you are free to continue your travels the next day.

For tours departing after August 14th, 2025, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Absolute Africa. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
