Unfortunately I only joined for 9 days (Jo'burg to Vic Falls) and I had an amazing time. I would've loved to stay for longer. The group was dynamic, fun, and nice. The tour guide Kanyo and our driver Mugu were very good, doing their work and mixing with the group, keeping track of everything, being there for us when necessary. I was sad to leave!

    Denise

    Asked on March 28th, 2025

We are looking at a tour that spends as much time as possible in the parks. We want to go to this tours places but also would like to visit Okavango delta. What is the camping is it tents or tents with en-suite or are there stretchers in the tents or are we on the floor etc.

    Tour Details
    • Absolute AfricaOperatorWritten March 2025

Regarding the camping arrangements, the accommodation is in three-person dome tents used for 2 people. These come with a sleeping mat and passengers are required to bring their own sleeping bag and pillow.

  • D

    Dean

    Asked on September 8th, 2024

Is it a ground tent or beds in a tent where it seems to be more comfortable. So do you have photos of what your "Camping" looks like? Are all trips similar? How can you determine the type of "Camping" is involved in your tours?

    Accommodation
    Tour Details
    • Absolute AfricaOperatorWritten September 2024

Our camping style is what we often describe as Adventure Camping. This being the case most nights you are sleeping on the ground in a tent. We provide three person dome tents (used for just two people) and high density sleeping mats. Occasionally we will stay in shared dorms. All of our trips consist of the same style of camping. The 15 day Garden Route tour has more nights in dorms than camping. All other trips are predominantly camping.

    • Absolute AfricaOperatorWritten February 2024

This tour finishes at Victoria Falls where we stay for the last three nights and so you have the chance to go on the rainforest walk to see the waterfalls on this trip. I have attached the detailed itinerary which breaks down the trip day by day.

    • Absolute AfricaOperatorWritten October 2022

We do not have any of our northbound tours running this year. Our southbound tours starting in Nairobi have always been our main route and the most popular whereas the northbound route was introduced later on and has always been quieter. As a result, given the time we perceive it will take longer to get bookings back to normal we took the choice to cancel all northbound tours this year.
