Itinerary
- Day 1
Bangkok
You'll arrive in Bangkok at your own pace and get settled into your accommodation. This evening, head out to Khao San Road with your CEO and the rest of the group. The street buzzes with energy once the sun goes down, and you'll find plenty of bars to choose from. Try some Thai beers, sample local teas, and grab whatever street food catches your eye while getting to know your fellow travelers.

Bangkok to Chiang Mai
The day is yours to explore Bangkok however you like. Wat Pho and the Grand Palace are popular choices if you want temples, or the National Museum offers a deeper look at Thai history. Jim Thompson's House is another option if you're into architecture and design. A riverboat trip down the Chao Phraya River and through the canals gives you a different angle on the city. Later that evening, you'll board an overnight train heading north to Chiang Mai.

Chiang Mai
Start by hitting Chiang Mai's street food scene for a real culinary experience. The flavors and smells of northern Thai cuisine are pretty distinct from what you'll find elsewhere. If you want to get out of the city, Doi Suthep temple sits up in the hills and offers nice views. Sankampang Hot Springs is another option for a relaxing soak after walking around town all morning.

Hilltribe Trek Day 1
You'll drive from Chiang Mai to Mae Malai village and then start trekking through thick forests. The terrain is rugged and the real draw here is meeting the hilltribe communities living in the area. Each group has their own language, beliefs, traditional dress, and way of life. You'll hike for several hours to reach your first hilltribe village, where you'll stay in thatch bungalows for the night.

Hilltribe Trek Day 2
After breakfast, you'll trek for about 2 to 3 hours before stopping for lunch. Then you'll visit a Karen village to watch locals making traditional blankets and scarves, which gives perspective on their daily work. The trek continues for another few hours before you reach your next village for overnight stay. Along the way there's often a stop at Mae Tang River where locals teach fishing techniques or help you build a bamboo raft.

Landmarks/POIs Karen Village Mae Tang River - Day 6
Hilltribe Trek to Chiang Mai
You'll eat breakfast and then board a bamboo raft to float past other villages along the river, getting a closer view of how people live. After lunch you'll meet up with the van to head back to Chiang Mai. Spend the evening trying famous local dishes like khao soi and sai oua at different restaurants. Later, hit the best bar in town to celebrate with the other trekkers and swap stories about the last few days.

Chiang Mai to Bangkok
Free time in Chiang Mai lets you shop at the markets, get a Thai massage, visit more temples if you want, or just have another bowl of khao soi curry. There's no pressure to stick to any schedule. That evening, you'll board an overnight train back to Bangkok so you can sleep and arrive fresh the next morning.

Bangkok
Bangkok has plenty to see and do, and this day gives you time to explore on your terms. Fair warning though: this particular day might involve switching hotels since this itinerary combines two different tour schedules. Check with your CEO about the logistics before you head out, just so you know where you're staying that night.

Kick things off with breakfast at the G Adventures-supported Khao Thep Pitak Community-Owned Farm and Restaurant, where you'll meet other travelers from around the world. From there, you'll head to Lake Cheow Lan inside the national park. You can hike around or take a swim depending on your mood. That night you'll sleep surrounded by jungle sounds and wildlife.

You'll make your way across southern Thailand to reach Koh Pha Ngan. The afternoon is free, so relax on the beach or by the pool at your beachside or poolside bungalow. The island has quite a reputation for nightlife, so try to catch the sunset before things get busy in town.

Koh Pha Ngan to Koh Tao
Take the ferry over to Koh Tao, known for being quiet and laid-back with some of the best snorkeling in the area. This afternoon you'll put on snorkel gear and check out the underwater life. If snorkeling doesn't appeal to you, head up to Koh Nang Yuan View Point instead for panoramic island views.

Koh Tao
Make the most of your final full day on Koh Tao by spending time on the beach and soaking up the sun. Grab some fresh seafood for lunch or dinner. Your last night calls for celebration, so head into town for the nightlife and spend time with people you've met during the tour. The Koh Tao Pub Crawl is an option if you want a more organized night out.

Departure
Today marks the end of the tour. You'll say goodbye to your group and take final photos together to remember the experience. If you're flying out of Koh Samui airport, make sure your flight departs at 11:00am or later so you have time to catch the ferry and get to the airport without stress.
