- RMRobyn· September 21st, 2025The tour itself was great, the accommodation in Tokyo was a bit far from the train station and the shared bathroom was always far too hot so it was a bit uncomfortable. It would have been good to spend an extra night in Hakone or Osaka to explore a little more, however, it was definitely a good way to explore more and learn as you went. Jordan was a great tour guide and a great laugh. I would definitely recommend the tour and Jordan :)Show moreOne Life Adventures commented on this reviewThank you for sharing your review Robyn! - Nicholas· September 18th, 2025This trip was a great way to see Japan for the first time! It was jam-packed but also well balanced with free time that allowed us to do some side quests we really wanted to do while also knocking out some of the best iconic sights in Japan. Our group was a good fun group and Jordan W. was an excellent tour guide! He made sure we made it to all our spots and trains on time and was well organized throughout the entire trip. He also gave us ample suggestions for our free time and helped us get to other places outside the tour as well. Overall, wonderful experience. The accommodations were also very comfortable as well for hostels and our favorite stay was the traditional stay in Hakone.Show moreOne Life Adventures commented on this reviewThank you for your thoughtful review Nicholas! - PPamela· September 18th, 2025I loved to see a lot of Japan in only 9 days! The planning was full, but there was enough free time to wander around alone or have a moment of rest. Our tour guide Jordan was perfect, he knew so much about the country, you could ask him anything. He has a chill vibe around him and does not force anything when it comes to group dynamics. As a result our group got really close and the whole experience was just fun. Thanks for the amazing trip!Show moreOne Life Adventures commented on this reviewThank you for your review Pamela! - Joydeep· September 15th, 2025Itenary was balanced, but I felt the tour could have included slightly more things on Osaka for a little more cost :) Guide was wonderful & chill. Couldn't have had a better one. Jordan was patient & detailed in most things & went out of his way to make things fun for us. Really appreciate it :) Overall, I felt it was a great tour. Everything was well organised and planned through we also had enough free time. The only thing I would want to note is that it would have been better to spend less time in Kyoto and more in Osaka in my opinion.Show moreOne Life Adventures commented on this reviewThank you for your review Anna! - Emma· June 13th, 2025I just finished the 13-day tour through Japan, and it took us to all of Japan’s highlights: Mount Fuji, Fushimi Inari, the bamboo forest, just to name a few. There was a great balance between group activities and free time! A special shoutout to George, who was always available if we had any questions or needed recommendations. He was also a very calming presence in a very busy country—truly a great representative of One Life Adventures. He was very knowledgeable and always had an answer to people’s questions. - CCaroline· June 9th, 2025The tour was excellent. It was well-planned, had amazing highlights in its itinerary, and provided a good balance of planned activities and free time. Our tour guide, George, was excellent too. He was knowledgeable, helpful and attentive, and with his humour and easy-going manner he felt just as much as part of the group as the tour participants. And while the tour organiser can't control what kind of people participate in the tour, I still wanted to highlight how wonderful and funny my group was. - EREmily· June 8th, 2025Great tour with a fantastic tour leader. Jordan was super professional and also lots of fun. He has great suggestions for us during our free time and some delicious food recommendations. The amount of time allocated at each inclusion was perfect. This tour is very “free time” orientated which for us was perfect, however definitely something to be aware of if you prefer to have your hand held the whole trip. But even during free time our guide had some great recommendations for this time. The hostels we stayed at were very nice especially in Osaka. Asked on July 17th, 2025I was wondering what times (local) that we would need to arrive at the hotel for the start of the tour, and what time (local) the tour would end on the 9th day, so that I can look at flights to schedule.
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written July 2025
The tour itself will begin at 5:30pm where you will meet up with the rest of your group ready for your traditional welcome dinner! The meet up point will be at the first accommodation, we shall provide detailed instructions in our welcome pack on how to get from the airport to this hostel. The tour itself will come to an end after breakfast on Day 9 in Osaka, we do offer a return train back from Osaka to Tokyo that can be added to your order for $275AUD.

Asked on May 4th, 2025Tokyo has multiple airports. what airport should I drop down to in Tokyo? And how to move to the meet-up point?
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025
You can fly into both Narita International Airport (NRT) and Haneda International Airport (HND) which are both based in Tokyo. 30 days prior to your tour commencing you will receive a welcome pack with detailed instructions on how to get from both airports to our first accommodation/meeting point using Japans public transport system. The journey from both airports will take around 1 hour, and tickets can be purchased from English speaking kiosks.

Asked on April 10th, 2025Does this mean a room full of bunk beds? I have a CPAP machine - would I be able to get a bed near an outlet? Would my American CPAP machine plug into a Japanese outlet without issue?
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written April 2025
We will be using multi share dormitory rooms throughout the whole of the tour, and you will only be sharing with fellow members of your One Life Adventure. So after reaching out to our ground team over in Japan, I have been informed that we cannot guarantee that there will be outlets for power by each of your bed. We do have an award winning Japan Classic tour, this tour uses upgraded accommodation and can accommodate for your CPAP machine. Please do note that you will need a letter from your doctor to get the CPAP machine through customs.

Asked on April 10th, 2025I'm currently 15 years old (turning 16 at the time of the tour), and I'll be traveling with my 19-year-old sister. I'm interested in the 9-day tour, which is listed as being suitable for ages 18–29, and I had a couple of questions. Firstly, could you please clarify why the age range is set that way? Is it primarily due to social activities such as drinking, or are there other reasons behind it? Secondly, is this an age restriction, or more of a general guideline?
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written April 2025
We do have age limits to ensure the best experience for all our participants. Guests must be 18 years or older to join. While we believe that all adventurers are young at heart, our tours are tailored for those aged 18-39, which is why we have an upper age limit of 45 years.

Traveler•Written April 2025Unfortunately I won't be able to make it so early in Japan! That's why I was looking for more the middle of the month.
- One Life AdventuresOperator•Written April 2025
So our tours commencing throughout June have actually been incredibly popular at full price, and we are seeing them fill as we speak! These tours may in fact sell out between now and closeout date, would you like to get a spot on our 15th June departure date secured?
- A
Alyssa
Traveler•Written April 2025Ok, so basically that's the reason why you won't be able to match the price with the previous one?
