Itinerary
- Day 1
Bangkok
You'll arrive in Bangkok and connect with your group and Adventure Leader. After getting settled, jump into a tuk-tuk heading to a rooftop restaurant for Thai dinner. Later, you'll cruise past the city's nighttime sights and finish the evening at one of Bangkok's rooftop bars before heading back to rest.

Bangkok to Chiang Mai
This morning you can take an optional temple tour through the Old City, checking out Wat Pho, Wat Arun, and the Grand Palace if it appeals to you. After heading back to freshen up, you'll make your way to the train station for an overnight journey to Chiang Mai.

Chiang Mai
You'll arrive at Chiang Mai station and transfer to your overnight homestay to drop off your bags. In the afternoon, a jungle trek of about 4-6km takes a couple of hours, with a nice break at a waterfall to cool off. Back at the homestay, you'll have an evening meal.

Chiang Mai
After checking out, you'll spend half the day at an ethical elephant sanctuary learning about their behavior and conservation. You'll watch them play in mud and help prepare their food. A vegetarian lunch happens on site, then you'll transfer to the city hostel. Pick between a cooking class or Muay Thai show for the evening.

Start with a Monk chat at a temple, then take iconic red Thai songthaews to Wat Doi Suthep for its spiritual setting. Back at the hostel, you can optionally head about 1.5 hours to the limestone Sticky Waterfall if that interests you. Evening options include checking out Zoe In Yellow for nightlife.

This morning is free time before your transfer to the airport for your flight to Luang Prabang. You'll arrive and settle into your new place. Luang Prabang
Morning brings multiple choices: join the Takbat Lao Ceremony watching monks gather food, explore the local wet market and cook, volunteer at Big Brother Big Mouse, or take a full-day bike ride to a village for pottery making with a Mekong River crossing before lunch. Everyone reconvenes at Kuang Si Waterfalls in the afternoon. Evening can include an optional local home dinner with a welcome Baci ceremony.

Vang Vieng

Hanoi
Visit Hoa Lo Prison in the morning to learn about Vietnam's history. An optional group lunch is available before you head to Hoan Kiem Lake with its central temple. You can stroll around the lake watching locals, walk through the wide French-constructed streets in the historical center, and grab food from the Old Quarter. The afternoon is free to explore narrow streets. Optional Water Puppet Show and a final farewell dinner with your group are available.
