Asked on May 31st, 2025Is it still possible to book the tour on the 12th or the 15th June and to walk the inca trail and to see Macchu Piccu?
G AdventuresOperator•Written May 2025All permits for hiking the Inca Trail are completely sold out (until October). We recommend booking your adventure at least 6 months in advance especially during high season (MAY-OCT) is the peak travel for Peru and the Inca permits sell out far in advance. If you are okay with hiking the alternate LARES TREK then that option is available!

Traveler•Written May 2025If we would walk the lares trek, do you still have entrance tickets to Macchu Piccu or do we have to be lucky and get one of the 1000 tickets in Auguas Caliente? What about the Salkantay Trek? Would it be possible to hike it instead of the Inka Trail?

If you complete with Lares Trek on the Lima to La Paz: Sandboarding & Sunsets you will still get to see Machu Picchu. The Salkantay Trek is not offered as part of this tour, it is either Inca Trail, Lares Trek or Machu Picchu by Train.

Unfortunately, the tour you are looking at is a tour specifically designed for our 18 - 39 year old travellers. As you don't fit within that age bracket we won't be able to book you on this trip. However, we have plenty more trips on offer, so please do have a look at some alternatives in our classic range of tours.

The age restriction on this tour is not because of fitness levels. It's because we had feedback from our younger passengers that want a travel style where like minded same age first time travellers can share accommodation in hostels and tour together. We do have similar tours open to all ages in Peru & Bolivia, but unfortunately not any that go the exact same route.

Porters are allowed to carry no more than 6kg of personal belongings per hiker (for all other Peru treks the limit is 7kg). That means that including your sleeping bag, toiletries, clothing, etc, you are allowed a total weight of 6kg for the hike which will be carried in a duffle bag provided by our local office.
