- Day 1
Karakorum
Head out to Karakorum, Mongolia's old capital city, traveling 365 km on paved roads to get there. Once you arrive, you'll walk through the remains of one of the largest and oldest monasteries in the region, then check out the Karakorum museum where you can see artifacts from the 7th century Turkish empire. The King's monument is also on your list before settling in at a contracted guest house for the night.

Orkhon Valley
Travel 120 km across off-road terrain to reach Orkhon Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site that shows two thousand years of nomadic pastoral traditions. You'll see the Orkhon waterfall and get a sense of Mongolia's landscape, then hike around the waterfall area. By evening, you'll stay in a traditional ger with a nomadic family.

- Day 3
Naiman Nuur (8 Lakes) - Day 1
Start a 3-day horse trekking journey heading toward Naiman Nuur, which means the 8 Lakes. You'll ride through a valley passing by eight lakes one after another, working your way toward Shireet lake, the largest of the group with a fresh water beach good for swimming. Plan on 5 to 7 hours of riding depending on your experience level and your horse's pace. That's roughly 70 km total over the three days. Spend your first night in a ger with a nomadic family.

Naiman Nuur (8 Lakes) - Day 2
Continue riding through the Naiman Nuur region with its eight lakes surrounded by large valleys. You'll keep moving toward Shireet lake, riding for approximately 5 to 7 hours based on your skill and pace. Another night follows in the ger with your nomadic family hosts.

Naiman Nuur (8 Lakes) - Day 3
Finish up the horse trek today as you continue through the valleys and past the eight lakes, making your way to Shireet lake, the largest and most scenic of the group. The fresh water lake has a nice beach where you can swim if you want. Expect another 5 to 7 hours of riding depending on your experience and speed. You'll spend your final night in the ger with the nomadic family.

Orkhon Valley
After your time at the eight lakes, head back toward the base nomadic family in Orkhon Valley, traveling 20 km. You'll pass by secluded lakes on the way through Tsagaan azarga mountain. The return ride takes about 5 to 7 hours. Once you arrive, you'll have a good meal and spend time with your nomadic hosts.

Elsen Tasarkhai National Park
Travel 120 km on a mix of paved and off-road terrain to reach Elsen Tasarkhai, the Sand Dunes, where the Gobi desert, mountains, and river all come together. You'll ride camels along the sand dunes for about an hour, then visit a nomadic family to see how they live with their animals. Later, enjoy a traditional Mongolian barbecue dinner before sleeping in a ger for the night.

Ulaanbaatar
In the morning, visit a small temple located on Khugnu Khan mountain, then get driven back to your accommodation in Ulaanbaatar city. The drive back covers 280 km on paved roads.
