- Day 1
Tenerife Arrival
You'll pick up your rental car at the airport and drive toward your accommodation along palm-lined roads. The drive gives you first impressions of the island. If you're not too tired from travel, consider stopping in El Médano, the beach town, or grabbing some fresh seafood before settling into your hotel for the evening.

Northern Tenerife - Garachico & Icod de los Vinos
Head north to explore Garachico, a historic town that sits right on lava flows, and swim in the natural lava pools. From there, you can check out the wine region around Icod de los Vinos, where the ancient Drago Milenario dragon tree stands. Taste some local wines and soak in the colonial atmosphere.

Anaga Rural Park is a different side of Tenerife. You'll find misty forests, green ridges, and villages that feel untouched by time. Walk through the old laurisilva forests and find Taganana, a fishing village tucked between mountains and the ocean. End at one of the island's best beaches with black volcanic sand.
