Itinerary
- Day 1
Bergen
You'll arrive individually in Bergen and transfer to the Havila Voyages pier for check-in. Before boarding, there's time to walk around Norway's second-largest city and see the historic Hanseatic Quarter of Bryggen, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its characteristic wooden buildings. Dinner happens on board, and then the ship departs in the evening heading north along the Viking Route on the Hjeltefjord.

Ålesund - Geirangerfjord/Hjørundfjord - Molde
The day starts early as you reach the Nordfjord and pass the West Cape before arriving in Ålesund, known for its Art Nouveau architecture. Depending on the season, you'll either see the famous Geirangerfjord with its 800-meter cliffs and waterfalls (April through August) or the Hjørundfjord (September through October). By evening, the ship reaches Molde, the Rose City, where views stretch across 222 fjord peaks.

Røvik
Trondheim gives you about three hours to explore this historic city. You could walk through the Bakklandet district with its colorful wooden houses or check out the Nidaros Cathedral. Optional guided city tours are available if you want more structure. After that, the ship continues north, passing the Kjeungskjær Lighthouse and small islands before reaching the town of Røvik after passing through the narrow Stokksund Channel.

Helgeland - Lofoten Islands
Today you cross the Arctic Circle where the sun barely sets (or doesn't set at all) in summer and northern lights appear in winter. The route passes by Svartisen, Northern Scandinavia's largest glacier, and Saltstraumen with the world's strongest tidal current near Bodø. You'll see sea eagles along the beautiful Helgeland coast before reaching the Lofoten Islands with their fishing villages, steep mountains, and Viking history.

Tromsø
After departing early along the Vesterålen Islands, you reach Tromsø, Norway's Arctic capital. There's about four hours here to explore this vibrant university city with its museums and world's northernmost brewery. Winter excursions include dog sledding or reindeer trekking, while summer offers sea kayaking and other maritime activities.

Hammerfest appears early in the morning for a short stop, being the northernmost town in the world. From there you head to Honningsvåg where an optional excursion to the famous North Cape is available. This location has drawn adventurers for centuries looking to reach the Arctic's edge.

Kirkenes
Kirkenes is the ship's turning point, reached in the morning with the Russian border just a few kilometers away. On the return south, you'll see towns that were passed at night during the northbound journey, now visible in daylight. An optional experience includes staying at the Kirkenes Snowhotel with ice-cold rooms available year-round.

Lyngsfjord - Tromsø
In Hammerfest, there's time to see the Struve Meridian Arc, a UNESCO World Heritage Site marking the first survey of Earth's surface. The ship then sails south through the Lyngsfjord in spring, surrounded by the rugged Lyngen Alps. You'll arrive in Tromsø shortly before midnight.

Trollfjord - Stamsund
This day showcases the Lofoten and Vesterålen archipelagos with some of the trip's most beautiful landscapes. The Lofoten Islands feature steep mountains, sandy beaches, wild nature, and fishing villages. South of Stokmarknes, you pass through Raftsund Strait with peaks rising 1,000 meters, then enter the Trollfjord (only 2 km long, 100 meters wide). The route continues along the Lofoten Wall to Stamsund.

Helgeland - Røvik
Crossing the Arctic Circle a second time calls for an Arctic Circle baptism ceremony, quite an entertaining tradition. Along the Helgeland coast, you see Torghatten Mountain with its remarkable hole (160 meters long, 35 meters high, 20 meters wide from the Ice Age). Later comes the Seven Sisters range, legendary peaks up to 1,100 meters each, said to be troll sisters turned to stone at sunrise. The journey reaches Røvik through coastal towns like Sandnessjøen and Brønnøysund.

The ship returns to the historic city of Trondheim and then continues toward Kristiansund, the cod capital known for centuries of dried fish exports. Moving toward Ålesund, the steep Romsdal Alps accompany you along the coast. An excursion to the Atlantic Road is available, featuring sweeping bridges and ranked as one of the world's most beautiful roads.
