      Harstad

      Arrive at Harstad/Narvik airport (EVE) and get your rental car. The drive to Harstad is about 45 minutes. It's best to pick up your car early before the international flights arrive and the counters get busy. Stock up on gas in Harstad since stations are limited once you head into the islands.

      Andenes & Whale Watching

      Set out early for the 4-hour drive from Harstad to Andenes to catch beautiful morning light on the mountains. Book your whale safari for early afternoon when the seas are usually calmer. The deep-water trench near the coast means you have a 95% chance of seeing whales. Pack motion sickness medicine and plenty of warm, waterproof clothes since the Arctic wind can be intense on the water.

      Andøya Island

      Take your time exploring the Norwegian Scenic Route on Andøya. The 58km stretch from Bjørnskinn to Andenes offers stunning views.
