- Odile· September 23rd, 2023Great tour guide, Michael M. Great hotels. Wish we had more time on the beach, for swim and that we would stop for photo op. Too bad for Maui fires, we would have loved to go to the other side of island- the stay in Kauea was hurried and rush/rush.Show moreTrafalgar commented on this reviewWe thank you for your review during your time in Hawaii. - KJKenneth· September 29th, 2022The tour itself was good, It was just that the islands didn’t really live up to my expectations.Show moreTrafalgar commented on this reviewWe appreciate your feedback, and whilst we are saddened that the Hawaii islands did not meet your expectations, we are happy that you enjoyed the trip. - mreid1413@comcast.net· September 8th, 2022Awful. This company is a rip off. I cancelled my trip in March and still have not received my refund even though I bought insurance. Do not book with Trafalgar. They have told me repeatedly my check is in the mail. Yet I am still without my refund 6 months laterShow moreTrafalgar commented on this reviewThank you for sharing your experience here with us. We can certainly appreciate the frustration that may have been felt on this occasion, as you had cancelled your trip and awaited reimbursement. - WWilliamSchwartz· July 1st, 2022Conflicting information; poor or no itinerary; lousy hotel - this is not what I paid a premium price for. One of our fellow travelers said he had 15 tours on Trafalgar and this was the worst and last Trafalgar he would ever take. I totally concur!Show moreTrip date: June 2022
- Deborah· January 28th, 2022We were told by Tour Radar that we could not plan “individual outings” before our trip. “Wait until you get there and your tour guide will help you”. At least that was my interpretation. So by the time we got to Hawaii a couple of the events we wanted to participate in were already booked. I was quite disappointed. Our plane was 3 hours late arriving so we never really met fellow travelers. It was the first tour I have been on where I did not know most of the participants. Our Director was awesome but overall this was an OK vacation. Service was great, Mother Nature provided lots of whales but so many things went wrong it will not go down as a memorable experience.Show moreTrip date: January 2022
- Stephen· November 23rd, 2021Well planned and executed. Good mix of group activities, optionals, and individual time. Excellent tour guide. Wonderful accommodations on Maui and Hawaii. Great location in Waikiki.Show moreTrip date: October 2021
- Jason· September 5th, 2021Fun trip, Trafalgar tour guide and health director did a wonderful job guiding and managing the trip. Oahu / Honolulu is way too crowded and busy, Waikiki beach was fun. Restaurants moving to 50% occupancy was a drag, but it’s a COVID world we live in now. All in all good experience.Show moreTrip date: August 2021
- AMAnneliese· August 25th, 2019The tour was much better than I expected as I hadn’t done a group tour for years. Robert was on the ball and gave us excellent tips and advice and kept us moving so we were all timely. The accommodation was great (I should have paid extra and had an ocean view - didn’t realise it was an option) and the organized meals were fine.Show moreTrafalgar commented on this reviewThanks for taking the time to share your feedback on your time on the Hawaiian Explorer guided holiday with Trafalgar along with the great photos. - Lucie· January 16th, 2019Fantastic trip through out O'AHU, MAUI and HAWAII. Our guide Michael Murakami, #Trafalgar, was informative, funny and always on point. We started, my husband and I, in Wakiki Beach than Pearl Harbor and a visit through town looking at the King's palace, Parliament building and Chinatown. Off we went to Hawai to visit Kona Joe coffee plantation. I took an helicopter ride to see Hawai's volcanoes and rain forest and my husband went snorkeling at Captain Cook cove. Both excursions were terrific. Than we went to see Panaluu black sand beach and made a quick visit to an orchid farm. More snorkeling with the giant Manta Rays and memorable sunset on the beach took place in between all these excursions. In Maui, we visited O'o Farm, an organic farm 3000 feets high and had the most delicious meal cooked right on site by their chef in his authentic brick oven. Off to a sunset cruise and swimming with green sea turtles. We saw quite a show whales watching. The giant sea creatures jumped out of the pacific ocean. Its not Hawaii without a Luau and we had a lot of fun being entertained by the talented dancers. Aloha Hawaii!! We will be back.Show moreTrafalgar commented on this reviewThank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us here at Trafalgar.
