Itinerary
- Day 1
Kigali to Musanze
After you arrive and get through immigration, someone will meet you at the airport and take you on a guided tour through Kigali. You'll stop at the Genocide Memorial Centre to learn about Rwanda's history. From there, you'll drive through the country's rolling hills heading toward Volcanoes National Park. The scenery changes as you go higher, and by evening you'll reach your lodge, settle in, and have dinner before spending the night.

Musanze to Bwindi
Your day starts with breakfast, then you head out to trek for golden monkeys. This trek is similar to gorilla trekking but not quite as physically demanding, so it's a good option if you want something a bit easier. After you come back and have lunch, you'll transfer into southwestern Uganda toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. During the drive you'll see terraced farming on the hillsides, which is pretty distinctive to this region. You'll arrive at your Bwindi lodge in time for dinner and settle in for the night.

- Day 3
Bwindi Gorilla Trekking to Kigali
This morning starts early with coffee and a briefing from Uganda Wildlife officials before you head into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. You'll go gorilla trekking and get to spend about an hour watching mountain gorillas in their natural environment. How long the trek takes depends on where the gorillas are that day. After lunch, you'll transfer back to Kigali and get dropped at your accommodation or the airport if you have an evening flight.
